Beware! These three types of people are most likely to be targeted by gallstones. Are you one of them?

Recently, more and more people around me seem to have gallstones, and many of them were found out during physical examinations. These "little stones" are usually silent, but once they occur, it can make people roll around in pain. Today, let's talk about gallstones and explain it to you in plain language.

1. Gallbladder, the "small warehouse of bile" in the body

When talking about gallstones, we have to talk about the gallbladder first. The gallbladder is like a small warehouse in the body, responsible for storing bile secreted by the liver. This bile is a good thing that helps us digest food. But the role of the gallbladder is more than that, it has four "little secrets":

Storing bile : The liver produces bile 24 hours a day and then stores it in the "small warehouse" called the gallbladder so that the bile will not flow around.

Concentrate bile : It is not good for the bile to be too much and too dilute. The gallbladder will absorb the water and electrolytes in it to make the bile more concentrated, which will make it more powerful in digesting food.

Secreting mucus : The gallbladder also secretes some mucus, which is like putting a layer of protective film on its own warehouse to prevent bile from "corroding" the warehouse.

Emptying bile : Whenever we eat, especially greasy food, the gallbladder will receive a signal and begin to contract, sending bile to the small intestine to help digestion.

2. Who is the “favorite” of gallstones?

Why are some people more prone to gallstones? Doctors say these three types of people should be careful:

People who like to be quiet and not active : If you sit still for a long time, your gallbladder will become "lazy", and its contraction function will weaken. Bile will easily accumulate inside and slowly turn into stones.

People who have been obese for a long time : Friends who like to eat high-fat, high-sugar, and high-cholesterol foods have too much cholesterol in their bile, which easily crystallizes into stones.

The "warrior" who skips breakfast : Are you in a hurry in the morning and skip breakfast? That won't work! If you skip breakfast, the bile in your gallbladder won't have a chance to be emptied. Over time, stones will come knocking on your door. It is said that the risk of getting stones for people who skip breakfast is dozens of times higher than that of people who eat breakfast!

3. Regular physical examinations to find "small stones"

Since gallstones are so cunning, how can we detect them early? The answer is - regular physical examinations!

Especially for those who are prone to gallbladder disease, don't forget to go to the hospital for an ultrasound examination. This examination is very powerful and can basically find gallstones in the gallbladder 100%. If you are still worried, you can also add an abdominal X-ray to ensure that there is no risk of failure.

Also, if you sometimes feel stomach pain, but it is not the kind of bad food, you should also consider whether it is gallstones. After all, some early symptoms of gallstones can be mistaken for stomach pain.

In short, although gallstones are an "invisible killer", as long as we pay more attention to them and have regular physical examinations, we can find them out and prevent them from harming our health. Remember, health is our own business, and we have to take care of it ourselves!
