How many days can you detect pregnancy?

Successful pregnancy is the dream of every couple in the pregnancy preparation period. After having sex, they become anxious and worried that the previous pregnancy preparation period has been in vain, and they are very reluctant to see the result of unsuccessful pregnancy. Therefore, people will be eager to test for pregnancy after having sex. So, in how many days can the pregnancy be detected? After intercourse, the sperm needs to pass through the cervix and uterus into the fallopian tubes, which takes about several hours. Then the sperm and egg are combined, which takes about two days.

The embryo then passes through both fallopian tubes and enters the uterus for implantation. This whole process takes about four or five days. Pregnancy is not considered until the whole process is completed, so it will take another week for pregnancy to be detected. After the embryo implants, it will metabolize a lot of hcg, causing the hcg level in the woman's blood to rise rapidly. If the blood is tested at this time, if the hcg level exceeds 50, then it proves that you are pregnant. If the hcg level in the human body has not changed and does not exceed 25 as before, then it proves that the pregnancy has failed.

As the test tube embryo grows, hCG will be gradually released into the urine. When the menstrual period lasts for more than two or three days, the pregnancy status can be detected by early pregnancy test paper. If hcg is present in the urine, the pregnancy test paper will show a positive result, confirming that the pregnancy is successful. On the contrary, the information will be negative, confirming that the pregnancy is unsuccessful.

Methods of diagnosing pregnancy

1. Blood HCG test

Blood HCG test is the earliest way to check early pregnancy. After the embryo implants, it will secrete a kind of chorionic gonadotropin, commonly known as HCG. If pregnant, HCG will be detected in the mother's blood 10 days after sex. Therefore, you can go to the hospital for a blood test 10 days after having sex, but this type of test is very complicated and must be done in a reliable hospital.

2. Test paper detection

Under normal circumstances, the urine is placed in the test hole on the early pregnancy test paper. If a printed band appears in the comparison area of the pregnancy test paper, it indicates that there is no pregnancy. On the contrary, if an obvious printed band appears in the test area, it indicates a positive result, indicating pregnancy. Since different test papers have different detection methods, they should be operated according to the instructions. It is best for women to use the first urine excreted after getting up in the morning for testing. The early pregnancy test strip is first used on the 14th day of pregnancy, that is, 14 days after sexual intercourse, and it is best to use it one week after missed menstruation. But Elizabeth would like to remind you here: Even if you have confirmed that you are pregnant at home, you must go to the hospital for diagnosis.

3. B-ultrasound examination

In fact, the best way to distinguish the early stages of pregnancy is to perform B-ultrasound examination and blood HCG test (urine test is also OK). These two methods are used together to diagnose whether you are pregnant. During early pregnancy, ultrasound examination can show the gestational sac, the location of the gestational sac, the fetal heartbeat and the fetal bud. The blood HCG test can be performed about 10 days after intercourse to determine whether there is pregnancy. It cannot see the gestational sac or determine whether it is an intrauterine pregnancy.
