1. I repeated the college entrance examination for four years, and my study journey was full of twists and turns

After graduating from high school in 1977, Sun Baoguo became a junior high school physics teacher at the village joint middle school. At the end of that year, the country announced the resumption of the college entrance examination, and Sun Baoguo also had the idea of ​​taking the college entrance examination, and he took the exam four times.

2. Two achievements to break the bottleneck

In the 1980s, foreign meat flavors were highly dependent on imports from the United States. Sun Baoguo, who is currently a graduate student, participated in the research and development of the National Seventh Five-Year Plan Project 030 and the National Eighth Five-Year Plan Project 719. The cost of independent research and development was less than one percent of that in the United States. On this basis, Sun Baoguo developed a series of sulfur-containing flavors. It can be said that food additives have played a decisive role in the Chinese people's transition from "eating enough" to "eating well".

3. Scientific research requires endurance of loneliness

Sun Baoguo would research whatever the factory needed, staying in the laboratory day after day, year after year. He relied on "working hard without being urged", on perseverance and constant thinking, which are the two basic elements of the scientific spirit.

IV. Opinions or suggestions on domestic science popularization and education

In adolescence, we should establish correct concepts, learn to look at problems historically and dialectically, and look at problems in two ways. In the information age, it is a scientific attitude to establish some correct understandings and prevent being deceived.
