Changes in height

Everyone has been growing taller since birth, but the speed of growth is different every year. Before the age of 2, especially within the first year, there is the first peak of growth, and most children can grow 25 cm. After that, the growth rate of height slows down, growing 5 to 8 cm per year.

The second growth peak is during adolescence, when the body can grow 10 to 12 centimeters per year, and in some cases it can even grow about 20 centimeters per year. Adolescence lasts 2 to 3 years, after which height growth slows significantly, and after the epiphysis closes, height stops growing.

The onset of puberty for each child is not exactly the same, and the extent of growth is not exactly the same. Look at the classmates in the class, although they are of similar age, some are taller and some are shorter, which is very normal.

Don't feel inferior because you are taller or shorter than your friends.
