During a woman's menstrual cycle, the hormones in her body are constantly changing. Because of the changes in hormones, there are many physical phenomena that manifest themselves. And before, after, and during a woman's menstrual period, the body can be adjusted according to the differences in each time period. Among them, the thickness of a woman's endometrium changes after ovulation. But it has a certain range of variation. What is the normal thickness of the endometrium after ovulation? The endometrium has different names at different times. During the ovarian cycle, when follicles develop and mature in the ovaries, the endometrium proliferates under the action of estrogen secreted by the ovaries, which is called proliferative endometrium. After ovulation, the progesterone and estrogen secreted by the corpus luteum of the ovaries cause the proliferating endometrium to secrete, which is called secretory endometrium. After the corpus luteum in the ovary degenerates, due to the decrease in the amount of estrogen and progesterone, the endometrium loses its support and becomes necrotic and flaky, which manifests as menstruation, that is, the menstrual endometrium. During menstruation, the functional layer of the endometrium is shed, leaving the basal layer. On the 15th to 28th day of menstruation, the endometrium is 5-7mm thick. The thickness of the adult endometrium is 7 to 8 cm. The thickness of the endometrium during ovulation is: 4-5cm wide and 2-3cm thick, and the uterine wall is divided into three layers, so there should be no problem with this analysis. The follicle monitoring lasted for four days. The results were 1.5*1.8 on the first day, 1.7*2.1 on the second day, and no results were found on the third and fourth days, which means the follicle had ruptured, as the doctor said. In fact, the thickness of the endometrium is different at different stages of the menstrual cycle. The normal endometrial thickness during ovulation is 7-8 mm, and increases to 10 mm after ovulation. Moreover, for women, the thickness of the endometrium will also affect the chance of pregnancy. In life, it is important to pay attention to regular gynecological examinations or physical examinations, because only in this way can many problems of the body be discovered and dealt with in a timely manner. Due to the special nature of the female body, not every woman can become pregnant and give birth smoothly. |
