Everyone may have cancer cells in their body! Do these 5 things and make cancer "scared of you"!

Cancer doesn't happen overnight.

So, who gave cancer cells the opportunity to grow bigger and stronger? Let’s take a look at the truth revealed by oncologists!

Who gave the cancer cells?

Opportunity to grow bigger and stronger

Pan Zhanhe, deputy chief physician of the Department of Oncology at Xiamen University Zhongshan Hospital, pointed out:

Cancer cells are essentially normal cells in the body that have gone bad and have become abnormal cells. It is not surprising to have a few cancer cells in your body. You may have cancer cells in your body right now, or you may have had cancer cells in the past.

Some people may exclaim: Is this true? It's too scary! In fact, there is no need to make a fuss. There is nothing to be afraid of. A few cancer cells can't make a big difference.

Why do you say that?

Because there is a most basic and most important premise: there must be no problems inside you and your immune system must function normally, then a few cancer cells will not have any obvious impact on your health.

When a person gets seriously ill, there are two reasons: internal troubles and external troubles. Cancer cells have a chance to grow and develop if the following two situations occur:

First, there are external problems and the "enemy" has become stronger.

As for cancer, it is not terrible to have a few cancer cells in the body at the beginning. But if these few cancer cells "train" to evade immune attacks, they will continue to grow and become more and more cancer cells, and eventually become cancer.

The second is that there are internal problems and “itself” has become weaker.

If you have an unhealthy lifestyle or a bad mental state for a long time, or if more unhealthy factors are added together, your immune system will have problems, which will give cancer cells the opportunity to grow and develop. Once they grow out of control, the number of cancer cells will increase, accumulate into a tumor (cancer cell cluster) and spread and metastasize, making it difficult to eliminate them. [1]

02

How can we not give “cancer cells” any chance?

Therefore, Dr. Pan Zhanhe reminds us that to prevent cancer, we must not only "drive away external troubles" (avoid contact/exposure to various carcinogens, and avoid unhealthy lifestyles and eating habits); we must also "strengthen the internal foundation" (protect immunity), and the two are often complementary and influence each other, because the human body is not a mechanical patchwork of organs and tissues, but an organic whole.

1. Stay away from external carcinogenic environments and don’t give “cancer cells” a chance

When it comes to carcinogenic environments, radiation may be the first thing that comes to mind. Radiation is widely present in nature and in life. For example, nuclear radiation, X-ray radiation, mobile phones, microwave ovens, Wi-Fi, solar ultraviolet rays, etc. are all radiation, including ionizing radiation and non-ionizing radiation.

Cell phones, microwave ovens, Wi-Fi, ultraviolet rays, etc. are all non-ionizing radiation, so don't worry. There is no sufficient research evidence to support that these non-ionizing radiations in life can cause cancer, but excessive ultraviolet radiation exposure (such as long-term sunbathing) may increase the risk of skin cancer and malignant melanoma.

Doctor Pan Zhanhe reminded that occupational factors are also environmental factors.

Occupational exposure can affect the occurrence of cancer. The following groups of people should pay attention to protection and have regular physical examinations.

(1) People who work with dyes have a greater chance of being exposed to aniline, which may cause bladder cancer;

(2) Coal mining, petroleum, chemical, and steel industry workers are exposed to and inhale coal dust, mixed dust, and other harmful substances for many years, and have a relatively high risk of lung cancer.

(3) Asbestos miners also have relatively high rates of lung cancer and malignant mesothelioma;

As early as 1986, my country listed lung cancer and malignant mesothelioma caused by occupational exposure to asbestos as occupational tumors. [2]

2. Manage your lifestyle. Cancer cells are most afraid of these things.

(1) The biggest fear is sticking to exercise

A 2021 study published in Medicine & Science In Sports & Exercise showed:

Not only does exercise improve your overall health, it also unleashes a secret weapon that slows the growth of cancer cells:

Myokines produced after exercise have the ability to inhibit tumor growth, creating a “cancer-suppressing environment” in the body. [3]

Long-term exercise can truly improve the body's immunity and physical fitness, thereby preventing and fighting cancer.

(2) The most feared thing is drinking too much water

Drinking more water can prevent bladder cancer. This is because drinking more water will make the urine more, and the concentration of carcinogens in the urine will not be too high.

If you drink less water each day, the amount of urine in your bladder will decrease, and the concentration of carcinogens in your urine will be higher, which can irritate the bladder mucosa. [4]

You should develop a good habit of drinking water every day. It is best to remind yourself to drink some boiled water every half hour.

(3) I am most afraid of having a good mood

Psychological factors play an important role in the occurrence and development of tumors.

Gastric cancer, liver cancer, and even brain malignancies are associated with irritability, pettiness, and excessive suppression of one’s emotions.[5]

On the contrary, maintaining an optimistic attitude for a long time can not only release and relieve one's own stress, but more importantly, it can also prevent cancer to a great extent.

(4) Fear of healthy eating

Some bad eating habits greatly increase the risk of stomach cancer.

For example, people eat too fast to save time; they have an irregular lifestyle, often skipping meals or skipping breakfast; and they overeat; smoked meat, fried, baked, or burnt food, as well as cooking oil that is repeatedly fried at high temperatures, all contain large amounts of carcinogens. [6]

If you stick to regular three meals a day, eat a balanced diet of meat and vegetables, and eat less oil and salt, cancer cells won't have a chance to take advantage.

(5) The most feared thing is never smoking

Tobacco and alcohol are the pushers that open the door to cancer.

People who smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day have a cancer risk several times higher than non-smokers, and women have a greater risk of cancer than men.

Don’t ever say: The uncle next door to my house has smoked all his life and still lived to be 80 years old. This is just an example and it’s also self-consolation.

Smoking is not only linked to lung cancer, it also increases a person’s risk of stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, cervical cancer, breast cancer, and other cancers. There is overwhelming evidence for this. [7]

It’s never too late to quit smoking!
