The weather is getting warmer! Do you often have an oily face when the seasons change? Here are some tips to help you solve the problem of oily face

Spring is a good time to travel as the temperature rises. However, for people with oily face, it will be "greasy" after a short time, which will affect their image and mood. How can we improve the oily face?

Why does the face become oily?

The number of sebaceous glands on the face is more, 5 times that of the shoulders. When the sebaceous glands on the face secrete too much oil, it will cause what we often call "oily skin". So, what factors can cause excessive oil secretion?

1. Congenital causes

Congenitally well-developed sebaceous glands and strong oil secretion function are more common in men.

2. Endocrine imbalance

It is mainly due to the increase in the secretion of male hormones, which leads to the increase in oil secretion by the sebaceous glands.

3. Age Factor

Age is a key factor that directly affects sebum levels. The amount of oil secreted by sebaceous glands decreases with age. For example, oil secretion is most active during adolescence.

4. External influences

The higher temperature in the summer stimulates the sebaceous glands to secrete oil, but in the cold winter, oily skin rarely occurs.

5. Improper diet

Eating spicy, fatty, sweet and greasy foods will affect the spleen and stomach functions, leading to accumulation of dampness and heat, which in turn causes sebaceous gland dysfunction and oil secretion disorders.

6. Irregular lifestyle

If you often stay up late, your skin will not get the proper rest and will be overloaded, which will also cause the sebaceous glands to produce excessive oil.

How to control oil on face?

If you want to get rid of oily face, can you wash your face frequently every day? Can you exfoliate frequently? I believe many people will have these questions. In fact, as long as you master the correct oil control method, oily skin is no longer a burden.

1. Clean appropriately

Many people wash their faces frequently or overuse soap-based cleansing products because their faces produce too much oil. In fact, this will damage the sebum film on the surface of the skin, causing the face to become more oily the more it is washed.

Just clean your face twice a day with warm water. When choosing products, amino acid cleansing products are the most ideal.

When cleansing your face, you can extend the massage time in areas with large pores or in the T-zone, and make circles from bottom to top and from inside to outside to thoroughly remove surface oil and dirt in the pores.

2. Exfoliate

You can choose cleansing products containing fruit acid or salicylic acid. These acidic skin-exfoliating ingredients can effectively clean the garbage in the pores and remove the old dead skin cells accumulated around the pores, while also restraining the sebaceous glands.

It should be noted that the frequency of using exfoliating products needs to be determined according to different skin types. If skin allergies, redness and other discomforts occur during use, it is recommended to stop using it.

3. Healthy Lifestyle

For oily skin, in addition to moderate cleansing and trying exfoliating products, you also need to make adjustments to your lifestyle, such as a proper diet and a regular schedule.

In terms of diet, it is advisable to eat more foods that clear away heat and dampness, such as coix seed and red bean porridge, mung bean soup, and bitter melon, and avoid eating spicy, high-sugar and greasy foods. In daily life, maintain a regular schedule, get enough sleep, and avoid staying up late.

Tips to improve oily face

Chrysanthemum, mulberry and lotus leaf tea:

Take 3 grams of mulberry leaves, 3 grams of chrysanthemums, and 3 grams of lotus leaves, brew them with boiling water, let them cool down, add appropriate amount of honey and drink. Mulberry leaves have the effects of dispersing wind-heat, moistening dryness and cooling blood. Chrysanthemums can dispel wind and heat, and lotus leaves can clear away heat and dampness, invigorate the spleen and eliminate dampness. They can clear heat, remove dampness, and detoxify, and help improve the body's damp heat and greasiness. Be careful when using this medicine for people with cold body, menstruation, and pregnancy.

Mulberry leaf facial cleanser:

Take 10-30g of dried mulberry leaves, wrap them in gauze, add appropriate amount of water to the pot and boil, boil the juice until it is concentrated, and store it in the refrigerator. When washing your face the next morning, add mulberry leaf juice to the water and scrub your face. You don’t need to wash it again after washing. It can clear away heat and wind, remove oil and detoxify. It can be used by people during menstruation, pregnancy and lactation.
