According to a report by market research firm CounterPoint Research, China's smartphone market will see a slight increase in 2024, with annual sales increasing by 1.5% year-on-year. This growth is mainly due to the success of some brands in technological innovation and market strategy, but the overall market performance is uneven, with relatively weak sales at the beginning and end of the year, lower than the same period last year. However, from week 5 to week 36, sales were generally better than the same period last year. In terms of brand performance, Huawei leads the market with a year-on-year growth rate of 36% . This achievement is due to Huawei's continuous innovation in the high-end market, such as folding screen technology and Hongmeng operating system, which have greatly stimulated consumers' demand for changing phones. In addition, Xiaomi and vivo also achieved year-on-year growth of 10% and 6% respectively . In contrast, sales of Apple, OPPO and Honor declined by 13%, 9% and 3% respectively. The domestic government has included electronic products such as smartphones in the scope of national consumption subsidies, which will drive further growth in mobile phone sales in 2025.
