Sensor Tower: Instagram became the world's top mobile app (non-game) download leaderboard in November 2022 with more than 62 million downloads

According to recent news, Sensor Tower store intelligence data shows that Instagram has become the world's top mobile app (non-game) download leaderboard with more than 62 million downloads in November 2022, an increase of 12.1% from November 2021. Among them, the Indian market accounted for 47.3% of downloads, the Brazilian market accounted for 5.2%, and the Indonesian market accounted for 5%.

Douyin and its overseas version TikTok ranked second with nearly 55 million downloads, which was basically the same as the same period last year. China was the largest market for downloads, accounting for 12.3%, followed by Indonesia, accounting for 8.5%, and the United States followed closely with 8.2%.

The other three apps in the top five are Facebook, CapCut and WhatsApp.

In November 2022, the number of global app (non-game) downloads on the App Store and Google Play reached nearly 7.3 billion, up 2.3% year-on-year. The Indian market ranked first with 1.55 billion downloads, accounting for 21.3% of the global total downloads. The US market ranked second with 9.7% of downloads, and the third place was the Chinese iOS market, accounting for 6.7%.

Multiple installs from the same account on different or the same device are not counted repeatedly. Download data also combines multiple versions of the same app, such as Facebook and Facebook Lite.
