Female lying flat on right abdomen with hard lump

If there is a lump in the abdomen, you can touch it with force, but there are many situations that may cause this, and the human eye cannot distinguish the cause. It requires going to the hospital for examination with instruments to distinguish it. So, what is the reason why women have a lump on the right side of their abdomen when lying flat?

There is a hard lump on the right side of the abdomen after lying down. There are several possibilities:

First, if you have difficulty defecating recently, this is often caused by fecal stone obstruction. You can take some mild laxatives orally appropriately, and apply a suppository to the anus and wait for defecation. If the lump disappears, the condition can be resolved.

Second, appendix pericysts. This condition is usually characterized by recent right lower abdominal pain, accompanied by partial infection and encapsulation, resulting in encapsulated cysts. This requires a visit to the hospital for abdominal ultrasound and blood routine tests to confirm the diagnosis.

Third, gastrointestinal space-occupying lesions, lumps inside or outside the stomach and intestines, and small hard lumps may appear, requiring abdominal CT and colonoscopy to confirm the diagnosis. There are also some other conditions, such as gynecological pelvic cysts, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, etc.

If you have a hard lump in the right lower abdomen, you should go to a reliable hospital for a color Doppler ultrasound or urine test. The lower abdominal lumps may also be due to the relatively developed waist muscles. There is no pain, so the patient does not need to worry. This situation is normal, and patients are advised to observe whether there are other manifestations before deciding what to do.

Obstructive lumps will also have such main symptoms. For example, obstructive lumps in the digestive tract will cause abdominal pain, vomiting, constipation or bloating in patients, but will not cause fever in patients. If the urethra is blocked, it will cause the patient to suffer from lower back pain. Swelling of the liver and gallbladder is also a major manifestation of obstructive lumps.

If the patient suffers from inflammation, there will be lumps in the abdomen, fever, pain in the wound, and the number of white blood cells will also increase. Appendicitis lumps, cystic lumps, traumatic lumps, tumor lumps are all causes of abdominal lumps. If a woman suffers from this disease, she needs a more detailed examination to determine whether it is caused by a gynecological disease or other symptoms.
