Streamlabs: YouTube Live viewership reached 24% in Q1 2019

Streamlabs and Newzoo released data for the first quarter of 2019, showing that YouTube Live’s viewership reached 24%, but it was only 25% of Twitch’s viewership.

On average, each channel on YouTube Live had 26 more viewers compared to Twitch.

The average viewing time per stream is 52 hours, with YouTube leading the pack in this regard.

YouTube streamed 52% more hours of content than Mixer in the first quarter of 2019, despite having fewer channels. Mixer had 86% less viewership than YouTube in the quarter, and fell behind YouTube Live by 4 million hours.

Compared to Mixer and Twitch, YouTube had the fewest number of unique channels in Q1.

In the first quarter, Twitch's concurrent online viewers (CCV) increased by 9% month-on-month, with an average CCV of 1.25 million.

Mixer's concurrent viewership grew 39%, but still lags behind YouTube and Twitch.

Overall, Epic Games is the most watched publisher on Twitch since Q1’18.

Apex Legends was the third most-watched game on Twitch in the first quarter, behind League of Legends and Fortnite, and was also the second most-live-streamed game.

Fortnite's audience on Twitch fell 10% in the first quarter of this year due to the launch of Apex Legends.

Quarterly active streamers using Streamlabs OBS across all platforms grew 26%, surpassing 3 million quarterly active streamers for the first time ever.
