People's Daily, Beijing, August 24 (Reporter Sun Hongli) According to the official website of the State Food and Drug Administration, the State Food and Drug Administration recently issued an announcement. According to relevant regulations, after organizational demonstration and approval, four medicines, namely, Ginseng, Astragalus and Schisandra Capsules, Children's Seven-star Tea Granules, Fukang Capsules, and Ginseng and Astragalus Chewable Tablets, have been converted from prescription drugs to over-the-counter drugs.

The National Medical Products Administration stated that relevant drug marketing authorization holders should submit supplementary applications for revised instructions to be filed with provincial drug supervision and administration departments before November 15, 2021, in accordance with the "Drug Registration Management Measures" and other relevant regulations, and promptly notify relevant medical institutions, drug distribution companies and other units of the contents of the revised instructions.

In addition, other contents of the instructions for over-the-counter drugs other than those specified in the template instructions for over-the-counter drugs shall be implemented in accordance with the original approval documents. If the drug label involves relevant content, it shall be revised at the same time. Drugs produced from the date of supplementary application filing shall not continue to use the original drug instructions.
