Excessive anxiety is ruining your life. People with high blood lipids, please stop worrying.

Moderate anxiety can make people feel a sense of crisis and increase their vigilance. Due to incomplete knowledge of the disease, patients may feel slightly anxious about the disease after they become ill, which is normal. Mild anxiety can urge patients to take medicine on time, have regular checkups, and reduce the risk of disease progression. However, excessive anxiety can affect the patient's physical and mental health.

Once, I met a 35-year-old patient. The patient had a family history of hyperlipidemia. During the physical examination, the patient was also diagnosed with hyperlipidemia, and the doctor recommended taking statins to regulate blood lipids. While taking the medicine, the patient's father suddenly suffered a cerebral infarction, leaving him with hemiplegia. After searching online, the patient learned that excessive cholesterol can cause carotid artery stenosis, insufficient blood supply to the brain, and easy cerebral infarction. Since then, the patient has fallen into anxiety, seeking medical treatment and medicine everywhere, and living in fear.

The patient had a preconceived notion and fell into a misunderstanding that high blood lipids would definitely lead to carotid artery stenosis and cause cerebral infarction. In fact, patients with high blood lipids will not necessarily suffer from carotid artery stenosis if they take medication on time and control blood lipids. Even if they suffer from carotid artery stenosis, timely treatment will reduce the risk of cerebral infarction.

High blood lipids lead to a series of problems such as carotid stenosis and cerebral infarction, which are mainly aimed at people who do not take medicine on time and do not actively treat the disease. Patients with high blood lipids generally have excessive cholesterol levels. Cholesterol is the raw material of atherosclerotic plaques. If high blood lipids are not controlled for a long time, the cholesterol in the body will accumulate more and more, and the plaques will grow larger and larger. These plaques accumulate in the carotid artery, causing carotid stenosis. At this time, patients can alleviate the problem of carotid stenosis and reduce the risk of cerebral infarction through drug treatment or surgical treatment. If the patient still goes his own way, does not take medicine, does not adjust his lifestyle, and allows the disease to develop, the risk of cerebral infarction will greatly increase. If patients suffer cerebral infarction and do not receive timely treatment, they may be left with sequelae that affect their daily life.

In addition, diseases such as carotid stenosis and cerebral infarction are diseases of the elderly, and the incidence rate of young people is very low. Therefore, young people do not need to be overly anxious about what to do if they suffer from these diseases.

Excessive anxiety stems from fear of future life and is a negative emotion. This emotion has no effect on the treatment of the disease, but will affect physical health. It is recommended that such people take medicine on time to control the disease. Live in the present and reduce worries about uncertain events in the future. In fact, when you are anxious, you can also think about it. The times are progressing, and technology and modern medicine are also developing. Even if you unfortunately get sick in the future, high technology and good medical conditions will help you solve the problem and improve the quality of life. Take a step back and don't fall into the trap you dig for yourself.
