Why do the tips of the leaves of the peace tree always turn black? What should I do if the leaves of the peace tree turn black?

The peace tree is very common in life. Because of its good meaning and high ornamental value, many flower lovers will plant one or two in their own gardens. However, when planting, they find that the leaves of the peace tree are always black. So why do the tips of the leaves of the peace tree always turn black? What should we do if the leaves of the peace tree turn black? Let's take a look.

Why do the young leaves of the peace tree turn black?

It is not advisable to water the peace lily too much. The blackening of its leaves may be caused by malnutrition due to too much watering, inability to absorb air or root rot. The situation will gradually improve if you water it less.

What to do if the young leaves of the peace lily turn black

1. Remove diseased leaves and bad branches: Remove all the diseased leaves and bad branches on the peace tree. Don't be soft-hearted! This will prevent the diseased leaves from causing more diseases and insect pests!

2. Disinfection: Spray the plant leaves and water the plant roots with a solution of carbendazim.

3. It is very important to dry the treated peace tree. Place it in a cool and ventilated place to dry, and do not expose the plant to the sun.

4. If conditions permit, I suggest you change the pot. The density of fungi in the soil may be far beyond your imagination. When changing the pot, you can check the root system and cut off the rotten roots directly. After changing the pot, you must pay attention to the daily maintenance of the peace tree. Do not water it with large amounts of water or fertilizer. Just keep the soil moist. Keep it ventilated!

What should I pay attention to when planting peace trees in pots?

1. Light. The light requirements of peace trees vary with their age. The light requirements change gradually with the age of the tree. Young trees between 3 and 5 years old prefer shaded environments. The characteristics of long branches and leaves in the shade make the plant grow fast in height. Plants over 6 years old require an environment with sufficient light.

2. Watering is the most important step, especially in winter, watering should be done alternately between dry and wet. The peace tree likes moist soil, and its thick leathery leaves can effectively prevent water loss, so watering should be done alternately between dry and wet. In summer and the peak growth season, water is required, so water should be added in time. When watering, ferrous sulfate can be added to increase soil acidity, especially in the north, where soil acidity must be adjusted regularly.

3. Soil: loose, breathable and water-permeable acidic soil is preferred. Smooth drainage is the key to growing peace trees. You can choose fertile acidic soil rich in organic matter or leaf mold mixed with river sand (river sand accounts for 20%).

4. Before potting, the pot must be de-fired and exposed to the sun for a day. The bottom should be covered with 5 cm thick broken tiles, etc., and leaf mold should be exposed to the sun. A small amount of river sand, garden soil, ferrous sulfate, and foliage fertilizer should be mixed in, suitable for the size of the pot and tree, and sprayed with water to stir. Put the original soil into the pot and fill it with self-mixed soil, and water it thoroughly to determine the roots.

This basin is the best, breathable and does not accumulate water

5. Fertilizer: Apply thin cake fertilizer water once a month, and apply phosphorus and potassium once in autumn to increase the cold resistance of the plant. Do not apply fertilizer in winter to prevent dormant fertilizer from damaging the roots.

6. It is not tolerant to pruning, so the pruning of branches should be reduced. Try to pinch off the branches or trim them in advance during the growing season, and the pruning wounds must be sealed.
