1. Take out the sick fish and put them into the treatment tank, change the water, and use potassium permanganate to disinfect the original tank.

2. Use iodine tincture to disinfect the wound (the concentration of potassium permanganate is difficult to control), apply it to the folds several times and disinfect it thoroughly!

3. Add oxytetracycline to the fish tank, calculate it according to 1 tablet of medicine for every 5L, and put in an appropriate amount of oxytetracycline for bathing. During the period, oxygenate the fish 24 hours a day, change the water and supplement the medicine appropriately. Before the carp's mouth grows well, keep bathing it with medicine every day and do not put it back into the original tank.

4. If the koi's mouth is only red and swollen and does not continue to worsen, it means that the fish's mouth has basically healed. At this time, adding appropriate amount of yellow powder according to the dosage can help the koi to disinfect and reduce swelling and speed up recovery.

5. Wait until the carp's mouth has fully recovered, then put it back into the original tank with good water.

Do Koi need sunlight?

Koi need sunlight. If they are outdoors, don't worry about the sunlight problem. Indoors, they need scattered sunlight. Koi in the fish tank need daily supplementary light.
