What does mid-luteal phase mean?

In the physiological cycle, the menstrual period is divided into the follicular phase, the ovulatory phase and the follicular phase. The period after ovulation and before menstruation is the follicular phase. The follicular phase is divided into the early luteal phase, the mid-late luteal phase, and the late luteal phase. The period immediately following ovulation is the early luteal phase, and the period before menstruation is the middle and late luteal phase. What does the mid-to-late stage of progesterone mean? Let’s discuss the interpretation below.

The period in the middle is the mid-to-late phase of the corpus luteum phase. In fact, the chance of getting pregnant in the middle and late stages of progesterone is not high, but the chance of getting pregnant during ovulation is higher.

For women with relatively regular menstrual periods of about 28 days, the late luteal phase refers to the period 5-8 days after ovulation. Generally speaking, the physiological cycle is divided into the physiological period, reproductive period, ovulation period and follicular period. The follicular phase is the time from ovulation to the next menstruation, and is divided into three stages: early luteal phase, mid-luteal phase, and late luteal phase.

The secretion of progesterone in the follicular phase increases, and the withdrawal of progesterone in the adjacent physiological period causes the shedding and bleeding of the uterine wall, and the follicular phase ends. The reproductive period is dominated by the increased metabolism of female hormones. Female hormones and estrogen maintain a relative concentration balance during the physiological cycle, influencing and restraining each other, and together with other growth hormones to maintain endocrine stability.

Corpus luteum insufficiency is generally a type of female endocrine disorder. If the corpus luteum insufficiency is insufficient, it will affect women's normal menstruation and pregnancy. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the inspection of corpus luteum insufficiency on a regular basis. The inspection time should be seven to eight days after ovulation, which is between the 21st and 22nd day of the menstrual cycle.

In every person's menstrual cycle, there is a middle and late stage of progesterone. In the middle and late stages of the corpus luteum, estrogen metabolism reaches a peak value. During the examination, the diagnosis can be made based on the level of estrogen metabolism in the body. Is corpus luteum insufficiency normal or a problem? There are some issues such as whether it is normal or a problem.
