Is a round belly a girl?

If you want to determine the gender of a child before birth, the most reliable way is to either wait until the fetus is about 13 weeks old to do a B-ultrasound, or use chorionic villus sampling, or test whether there is a unique coding sequence on the Y chromosome in the mother's blood. If there is, it must be a boy. Does a round belly necessarily mean that a girl is a girl?

There is a saying in folk customs: "A round belly means a girl, and a pointed belly means a boy." This is really a fallacy and there is no scientific evidence to support it.

The shape of a pregnant woman's abdomen is largely determined by the size of the fetus. Although boys are indeed heavier than girls on average when they are born, this difference does not make the protruding abdomen of a pregnant woman a noticeable difference.

The circular ones are generally called upper pregnancy, and the pointed ones are generally called center pregnancy. The elderly here often say that if the pregnancy is in the upper pregnancy, it is a girl, and if it is in the center pregnancy, it is a boy. I don't know if it is correct.

My own way of distinguishing is: if the upper part of the womb is very round, from the stomach to the abdomen, like a basin stuck in it, we old people say that this is a girl; if the lower part of the womb is a little pointed, and it is within four or two fingers below the stomach to the lower belly, it is usually a boy.

If you want to know whether it is a boy or a girl, B-ultrasound is very accurate.
