Reasons for less menstrual blood in women

Because people's physical fitness is different, menstrual bleeding and the timing of menstruation are quite different. In addition, some women suffer from endocrine imbalance due to working overtime, staying up late, or dieting to lose weight, which can also cause decreased menstrual bleeding. So what is the reason why women have less menstrual flow? Let’s master it together.

What is the reason for women's small menstrual flow?

1. Excessive dieting to lose weight. If women diet too much to lose weight, they will suffer from malnutrition and also have less menstrual flow.

2. Poor sleep. Women cannot ensure good sleep quality during menstruation, which can easily lead to scanty menstruation. This is because cold stimulation during menstruation can cause excessive contraction of blood vessels in the pelvis, leading to scanty menstruation or even amenorrhea.

3. Influence of mentality. Women get angry or suffer from severe psychological trauma, these factors can easily lead to less menstrual flow in girls;

4. Endocrine factors. The common causes of low menstrual flow are endocrine factors, such as abnormal secretion of various hormones or anovulation.

5. Uterine wall elements. Small menstrual flow may be due to the uterine wall itself, such as uterine wall tuberculosis causing endometrial degeneration or abortion or curettage causing thin endometrium.

How to take care of women with light menstrual flow

1. Keep warm and avoid catching cold. Female friends who have scanty menstruation or amenorrhea must be careful not to go out in the rain during their menstrual period, and try to avoid getting their lower abdomen cold at any time.

2. Try to reduce strenuous work during those days of each month. During menstruation, women should work properly and avoid excessive physical and mental fatigue, but they should not stay in bed completely. They should do some light physical work, which is conducive to promoting pelvic blood circulation and can improve the symptoms of scanty menstruation and amenorrhea.

3. It is advisable to eat more foods rich in iron and nourishing properties. Sufficient iron supplementation is required to prevent iron deficiency anemia. Eat more nourishing foods such as black-bone chicken, beef, fish roe, shrimp, grass shrimp, pork and sheep kidney, dried oysters, black beans, sea cucumber, walnut meat, etc., and long-term dietary adjustment will have a certain helping effect on women's scanty menstruation and amenorrhea.
