The exact location of the vaginal sac

BL4: At the base of the thigh, 4 B-cun above the anterior epicondyle of the femoral head, between the vastus medialis and sartorius muscles. The anterior femoral cutaneous nerve and the anterior branch of the obturator nerve are distributed there. In the deep layer, there are the femoral artery and vein on both sides, and the superficial branch of the femoral circumflex aorta.

Acupoint selection method: Sit upright or lie flat with knees bent, and select the point 4 inches above the anterior epicondyle of the femoral head (i.e. 4 inches above Ququan acupoint), between the vastus medialis and sartorius muscles.

Acupoint anatomy: Below the acupoint are skin, subcutaneous tissue and adductor magnus muscle. The skin is supplied by the femoral cutaneous nerve. The skin is thin and the subcutaneous tissue has a loose structure. The great saphenous vein runs from behind the medial condyle of the femoral head to the anterior and medial side of the thigh root. The needle passes through the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscle fascia on both sides of the great saphenous vein, penetrates the deep muscle fascia, and enters the adductor muscle on the inner side of the sartorius muscle. Deep to the sartorius muscle, the femoral artery, femoral vein, and saphenous nerve enter the popliteal fossa from the subfemoropopliteal foramen.
