Women naturally cannot get pregnant without their menstrual period. But pregnancy is related to ovulation, why is it related to menstruation? Pregnancy can only occur during the ovulation period when the uterus is well developed, so what is the relationship between eggs and menstruation?

Eggs and menstruation are closely related. If there are no eggs, ovulation will not occur, and naturally there will be no menstruation, which will naturally affect future pregnancy.

After menstruation, the uterine wall will become too thin, because the estrogen level is low at this time, and the egg begins to grow and secrete estrogen. With the effect of estrogen, the increase of estrogen will make the uterus develop and the uterine wall will become thicker.

Because estrogen is produced after ovulation, the uterine wall can undergo metabolic changes. If pregnancy occurs at this time, the uterine wall will further thicken and become loose. If pregnancy does not occur, estrogen and progesterone will withdraw, and menstruation will occur at this time. Therefore, if there is no development of eggs, menstruation will not come. Menstruation is affected by the hormones secreted by the eggs. From this perspective, eggs and menstruation have a mutually supportive relationship.

The uterine wall of women undergoes changes between the proliferative phase and the metabolic phase under the action of these two hormones. Once the female hormone level decreases, the uterine wall loses the support of hormones and will necrotize and fall off, and menstruation will begin. This is a normal ovulatory period. During the non-ovulatory period, the uterus and ovaries only metabolize female hormones, not estrogen, so the uterine wall can only undergo a proliferative phase. When estrogen drops to a certain level, the uterine wall falls off and women will also experience menstruation.
