Symptoms before lochia ends

Symptoms before lochia ends

There are some changes in a woman's body right after giving birth, the most obvious of which is lochia. Women will notice the discharge of lochia after delivery, but if it is the first time giving birth, they may not know much about lochia and it is easy to ignore it. Many people are not very familiar with the time of lochia discharge after childbirth, but they are very worried about the blood stasis discharged every day. Many mothers of newborns are at a loss when facing this situation. So, what are the main symptoms of the end of postpartum lochia? What should I do if lochia is not clean?

What are the main manifestations of postpartum lochia?

1. Bright red postpartum lochia

In the first week after giving birth, the amount of lochia is relatively large, the color is bright red, and it contains a lot of blood, small blood clots and necrotic decidual tissue. It is called bright red lochia. Stubborn lochia lasts for three to four days, the amount of abnormal uterine bleeding gradually decreases, the serum increases, and it changes into serous lochia.

2. Lochia serous

After one week to within ten days, the amount of blood in the lochia is small, and the main components are necrotic decidua, cervical mucus, female secretions and bacteria, which cause the lochia to become a light red slurry. The lochia at this time is called serous lochia. Serous lochia lasts about ten days, the serum level gradually decreases, the white blood cells increase, and the lochia becomes white lochia.

3. White lochia

After a dozen days to three weeks, the lochia no longer contains blood, but contains a lot of white blood cells, atrophic decidua, epidermal cells and bacteria, making the lochia more viscous and white in color, so it is called white lochia. The white lochia lasted for three weeks without any bleeding.

What should I do if my mother has persistent lochia?

What should a woman do if she has persistent lochia? The following treatments are mainly through diet therapy, medication and a good lifestyle.

1. Diet therapy

1. Prepare 30 grams of radix pityriasis, 10 eggs, and 30 grams of brown sugar in advance. Then boil the herb in water, remove the residue, and then use the filtrate, brown sugar and eggs to cook. Cook until the eggs are cooked. Eat 2-3 eggs a day. You can cook it again after eating. It is suitable for lochia caused by qi deficiency after childbirth.

2. Prepare 10 grams of wild ginseng, 1 clean black-bone chicken, and a small amount of salt in advance. Soak the wild ginseng until soft, cut it into slices, stuff it into the chicken's belly, put it into a stone pot, add salt, and stew it in water until the chicken is cooked through. Eat the meat and drink the soup, 2-3 times a day.

3. Boil hawthorn berries and old brown sugar in water and drink it. Hawthorn berries can not only help pregnant women improve their appetite and promote digestion, but also disperse blood stasis. Combined with the blood-enriching effect of brown sugar, it can promote pregnant women with lochia to activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis as soon as possible and empty postpartum lochia.

2. Drug Law

If postpartum lochia recurs for a long time, it is best to go to the hospital for a check-up, find out the cause, and then cooperate with medication for treatment. Compared with medication, Chinese medicine is more inclined to Chinese medicine. Medication generally relieves symptoms, but Chinese medicine treats from the root of the body, which can not only treat diseases but also regulate the body.
