Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is a substance obtained from the urine of pregnant women that can induce ovulation of mature follicles or be used for progesterone support therapy after HMG therapy.

(1) Indications and clinical efficacy: First-degree amenorrhea due to failure of blood CC; Second-degree amenorrhea due to blood CC; Cases of patients who did not get pregnant after using CC during ovulation; The use of HMG can increase the pregnancy rate even if there is ovulation if the body temperature does not rise during ovulation; Superovulation treatment during full-term artificial insemination, gamete transfer, and in vitro fertilization.

(2) Treatment procedure: On the 5th day after menstruation or withdrawal bleeding, HMG 75-150U/d is injected intramuscularly. After the egg is perfected, HCG5000-10000U is injected intramuscularly. The maturity of the egg can be judged by semi-quantitative analysis of estrogen in urine, quantitative analysis of estrogen in blood, cervical mucus examination, etc., but intravaginal ultrasound follicle monitoring of development has been basically used. The egg grows about 2mm every day. When the egg reaches 18-20mm, HCG is injected intramuscularly. Ovulation usually occurs 36-48 hours after injection. On the day of HCG administration or the next day, specifically guide the couple to have sex or artificial insemination.
