Ovulation curve chart by body temperature

The time of ovulation is closely related to the time of menstruation, but the health conditions of different female friends are different, and the time of ovulation is usually different. This is something we need to know during the pregnancy preparation period. We will use a thermometer to know it, so how to use body temperature to measure ovulation?

How to use body temperature to measure ovulation

A person's body temperature is affected by the external environment and the body's internal activities and has a certain fluctuation. In order to eliminate these external and internal influences, the body temperature before waking up at 6-7 am is usually taken as the ovulation temperature. Ovulation body temperature is the lowest body temperature in a day.

Although the method of accurately measuring ovulation temperature is simple, it is strict and requires long-term persistence. Before measuring, you should prepare a thermometer and a record sheet for recording ovulation temperature (if there is no such record sheet, you can use a piece of graph paper instead). From the beginning of the menstrual period, before waking up in the early morning of each day, put the thermometer in your mouth for 5 minutes without talking or doing any activities, and then record the measured temperature on the temperature record sheet.

In order to improve the accuracy of measuring ovulation temperature, the mercury column on the thermometer should be lowered to below 35°C before going to bed every night, and placed on the bedside or next to the pillow so that it is easy to use when used, and try to avoid movement. If you wake up and take the thermometer, your basal body temperature will rise, making the temperature value of the day meaningless. For women who work the middle or night shift, it is best to measure their ovulation temperature when they first wake up 4-6 hours after falling asleep.

Generally, the body temperature during ovulation needs to be measured accurately for more than 3 physiological cycles to indicate a problem. If your menstrual cycle is regular, you can basically know your ovulation time after accurately measuring your ovulation temperature during several menstrual cycles.
