Female friends should be familiar with the term "pelvic effusion". When we go to the hospital for examination, pelvic effusion often appears on our physical examination report. So what exactly is pelvic effusion? Are there any disadvantages to the body? Today the editor will discuss this with you all.

Pelvic effusion in women may be caused by these three reasons, but many people have not taken it seriously.

Pelvic effusion is actually a manifestation and cannot be regarded as a disease. It is a description of fluid in the pelvis in medical imaging. Pelvic effusion can be divided into physiological pelvic effusion and physiological pelvic effusion. Some women will have a small amount of pelvic fluid during their menstrual period or ovulation period. Patients with constipation may also experience a small amount of intestinal fluid extravasation and pelvic effusion due to abnormal gastrointestinal function. This kind of physiological pelvic effusion is not a bad thing for women.

If it is physiological pelvic effusion, it will cause decreased immunity in women, menstrual disorders, lower abdominal pain, a feeling of falling, and pain in the lumbar sacral area. Even infertility may occur.

Physiological pelvic effusion is generally caused by these 3 reasons.

1. Not paying attention to hygiene during menstrual period

Women have weaker resistance during their menstrual period. The uterine wall is shed and blood clots are present in the uterine cavity, which is a good environment for the growth of bacteria. Due to the special physiological structure of women, and the open cervix during menstruation, if you do not pay attention to hygiene during menstruation, use unqualified sanitary napkins or handkerchiefs, or have sex, it will cause bacteria to travel back and infect, which can easily lead to the occurrence of pelvic inflammatory disease in women.

2. Postoperative infection

After minimally invasive gynecological surgery, such as IUD insertion and removal, abortion, and other minimally invasive gynecological surgeries, if the disinfection is not strict, or if the urinary system is already inflamed, postoperative infection may occur. Some patients do not pay attention to hygiene after surgery, or do not follow the doctor's instructions and resume sexual life too early, which can also cause bacterial infection. Especially for women after giving birth, if the cervix is not well repaired, the bacteria in the vagina and cervix may infect the pelvis.

3. Spread of inflammation in adjacent human organs

If a woman suffers from appendicitis or peritonitis, because they are close to the female reproductive organs, it will directly cause female pelvic inflammation. Chronic cervicitis, inflammation may also cause inflammation of the pelvic connective tissue through blood circulation.
