Is it better for women to have big or small hips?

The older generation would judge whether a woman could give birth to a child by how big her butt was. Generally speaking, people with big butts have bigger hips, and people with big hips are called "big babies". With a small hip, the body curve will be more valuable, and with a tall stature and high heels, a pair of long and beautiful legs will be very eye-catching. So is it better for women to have big or small thigh bones?

Women with big buttocks may not have a happy childbirth

What factors can determine the difficulty level of production?

An authoritative expert said: Childbirth is a complicated course that tests the mother's confidence and the doctor's diagnosis and treatment experience. A pregnant woman's big buttocks alone cannot ensure a successful delivery.

Big butt = big pelvic frame

The buttocks are covered with pelvic bones and soft tissue: the bones are what we often call the framework, and the soft tissue is human fat. Is the big butt that we see because the passage (pelvic entrance) through which the fetus must pass during delivery is large, or is it because of excessive body fat? If it is due to thick body fat, then it will not only be of no help to choosing a natural birth, but may even have a negative impact.

4 types of pelvic bones

Because the female pelvis and the planes of each pelvis vary greatly, it is impossible to force the pelvis into a certain category. For practical purposes, we can divide the pelvis into the following according to the shape of the pelvic passage:

1. Female Earth, which is ring-shaped or horizontal oval.

2. Male Earth type, that is, heart type or wedge type.

3. The ape style, which is egg-shaped with long front, back, left and right sides.

4. Flat type, that is, horizontally oval, but the diameters from front to back and left to right are very short.

Among these four types of pelvises, the "female earth" and "ape style" are more beneficial to childbirth. Both the "male position" and the "flat position" are not conducive to vaginal delivery. Of course, the shape of the pelvis cannot be seen by the naked eye, and the saying that women with bigger buttocks are more likely to give birth to babies is just speculation. So, what does a successful and natural delivery have to do with? The pelvis is only one of the key factors affecting delivery. Other factors such as labor force, the mood of the pregnant woman, uterine contractions, fetal size, and delivery posture of the pregnant woman are all important. Among them, factors such as labor force, birth canal, fetus, and pain are particularly important.

How to measure pelvic size

Experts tell you that the way to measure your pelvis by yourself is: put your hands on your hips and move downwards. You can touch some arc-shaped bones on both sides of the body, which are the ilium; then move downwards to the area that is generally called the coccyx, which is the coccyx; the section below the waist and above the coccyx is the sacrum; then what you touch above the perineum is the toe bone; finally, sit down, the protruding bone you feel when you sit is the sciatic nerve. The positions touched upon above roughly cover the entire pelvis.
