I have been farting for a year after my cesarean section

Everyone knows that mothers who have undergone cesarean section must eat only after the vent is removed. However, many mothers have difficulty passing gas, and some mothers suffer from bloating and frequent farting after cesarean section. So what is the reason for the continuous farting after cesarean section? What should the mother eat on the first day after cesarean section?

Why do I keep farting after a cesarean section?

After a cesarean section, there will be abdominal distension and smelly farts. The main reason is that the pregnant woman undergoes abdominal surgery. During the operation, the intestines are irritated and the gastrointestinal function is weakened. It usually takes 24 to 48 hours for the gastrointestinal function to slowly recover.

Women who have undergone cesarean section can drink more carrot soup, which can improve gastrointestinal function, reduce bloating, and also help with gas discharge. At the same time, you should also increase your activity and turn over more often. On the second day after cesarean section, you should get out of bed and move around with the help of your family, which will promote exhaustion.

After the cesarean section, the pregnant mother must do all the recovery work after giving birth. There are many common problems in post-cesarean section recovery, such as a proper diet, a happy mood, and persistent exercise. These should be taken seriously. Do not take chances and plant hidden dangers in post-cesarean section recovery, which will affect your own and your baby's physical and mental health.

What should mothers eat on the first day after cesarean section?

First of all, after a cesarean section, you need to wait until the gas is discharged before you can eat normally. After giving birth, the intra-abdominal pressure will be relieved and the intestinal motility will be slow, so constipation is easy to occur. Six hours after giving birth, you can eat some liquid food appropriately to increase intestinal motility and reduce the occurrence of abdominal distension.

Secondly, on the first day after giving birth, pregnant women are generally advised to eat liquid foods such as porridge, rice paste, fruit juice, bone soup, etc., but don't eat too much at one time, it's best to eat small meals frequently. Until the second day after the operation, you can eat some semi-liquid food, such as crispy fresh noodles, minced meat, liver paste, etc. Within one week after cesarean section, you should eat less foods that are easy to produce gas, such as soybeans, soy milk, and tapioca starch.
