Can I detect pregnancy after having sex for two days?

Pregnancy is a very complicated matter. For some groups of people, the chance of pregnancy is not very high, which puts a lot of pressure on our body and mind, and this will also have some negative effects on pregnancy. Therefore, we must master scientific methods. So, can pregnancy be detected two days after having sex?

Can I detect pregnancy two days after intercourse?

You cannot detect pregnancy two days after having sex. It does not mean that you will get pregnant as soon as you have sex. You can only get pregnant when a woman produces an egg and combines with a man's sperm. Generally speaking, a woman can only produce one egg a day in a month, and ovulation occurs 14 days after the next menstruation. A woman's ovulation period can be delayed or advanced due to many factors such as her mentality and work stress. Therefore, ovulation is possible five days before and four days after the ovulation period, which is called the ovulation period or the fertile period. This is why couples who want a baby have to choose to have sex during the woman's ovulation period, while couples who want to take contraceptive measures have to avoid this period of time for women.

After the egg cells are released from the uterus and ovaries, they can survive in the mechanical environment of the bilateral fallopian tubes for 1-2 days, waiting for fertilization. The man's sperm can maintain fertilization ability in the woman's reproductive system for 2-3 days, so it is easy to get pregnant by having sex a few days before and after the egg is discharged. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, a total of 10 days within the ovulation period, the ovulation period. Since it is very easy to get pregnant during sexual intercourse during the ovulation period, the ovulation period is also called the fertile period or the dangerous period of pregnancy.

It takes a certain amount of time for the discharged egg cell to reach the ampulla of the fallopian tube, where it waits for sperm, usually about 10 hours. In other words, fertilization occurs within 12 hours after ovulation. The moment when sperm and egg meet and fertilize is called fertilization. The process of sperm and egg fusion and fertilization itself takes about 12 hours. In other words, the whole process of fertilization must be completed 24 hours after ovulation. Therefore, pregnancy cannot be detected two days after intercourse.

How many days does it take to test whether you are pregnant?

It takes 7 to 8 days for the sperm and egg to combine, swing from the bilateral fallopian tubes to the abdominal cavity and embed into the uterus of the pregnant mother. Only then is it considered pregnancy. Therefore, it takes at least 7-8 days from fertilization to pregnancy, but no more than 9-10 days, because if it exceeds 10 days, the progesterone is weakened, the estrogen is withdrawn, and the menstrual period comes.

Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is a glycoprotein growth hormone produced by the body of pregnant women and exists in large quantities in the blood and urine of pregnant women. HCG begins to be secreted on the 6th day after egg fertilization and can usually be detected after 11 days. The secretion of HCG in the early pregnancy increases rapidly, doubling in about 1.7-2 days, while HCG cannot be detected in the urine of normal non-pregnant women. Therefore, testing HCG in urine is a reliable indicator for determining pregnancy. If you are in early pregnancy, it is more accurate to use morning urine. Generally, a check after 2 weeks will confirm whether you are pregnant.

After the sperm and egg meet, information can be shown in the HCG of the blood. Therefore, you can just go to the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital to check a blood HCG level later. Therefore, you can do a blood HCG test about 9-11 days after ovulation to diagnose whether you are pregnant. Under normal circumstances, you can use a pregnancy test strip one week after your period is delayed to detect whether you are pregnant. A pregnancy test or B-ultrasound examination on the 35th day of pregnancy can diagnose whether you are pregnant.
