Nine out of ten men have leakage, according to an old Chinese doctor

There is a folk saying that nine out of ten boys will have brown discharge when giving birth to a boy or girl. What does it mean? What is the implication of this saying? Let's discuss what are the symptoms of nine out of ten boys having brown discharge? What does it mean that nine out of ten men are leaking? Let’s take a look at what the old doctor calls “Nine out of ten men have leaks.”

Ten men, nine out of ten are leaky, old doctor calls

In folk customs, a small amount of vaginal bleeding in the early stage of pregnancy (spotting during pregnancy) is regarded by many people as a good sign of having a boy, but in fact, spotting during pregnancy may mean a bad sign, especially when accompanied by a certain amount of pain, it is more dangerous, and it is not clear whether it is a threatened miscarriage.

There are many reasons for threatened abortion, such as fatigue, fetal quality problems, unstable embryo implantation, etc. The correct explanation for "nine out of ten boys are missed" is that there is bloody discharge (mostly brown discharge) in the early pregnancy. When you go to the hospital for this kind of situation, many doctors will say it is threatened abortion. However, according to the progesterone level, hcg and even B-ultrasound tests are all normal. In this case, the pregnant woman has not undergone any treatment such as medication to maintain the pregnancy, injections, etc., and the possibility of giving birth to a boy is very high. This comes from the statement of an old doctor! However, it doesn’t mean that if she doesn’t leak, she is definitely a girl!

What is puzzling is that there are many mothers who have made public claims online, confirming that so-and-so's method of identifying men and women is definitely effective. In fact, the chance of having a boy or a girl is about half. Just like buying a lottery ticket has a 50% chance of winning, naturally more people will guess it right. In addition, the psychological process of always reporting good news but not bad news has also invisibly increased the efficiency of this method.

What causes bleeding in early pregnancy?

1. Unstable implantation of fertilized eggs

If in the early stages of pregnancy, the embryo can be seen in the ultrasound examination, and the bleeding at this time is called threatened abortion bleeding. Not all miscarriages are caused by bleeding, and bleeding during pregnancy does not necessarily lead to miscarriage. It is just a warning sign, meaning that the chance of miscarriage is very high and the test tube embryo is unstable. There are many reasons that lead to instability in test tube embryos. When the test tube embryos have chromosomal abnormalities and cannot survive and grow, they will be naturally replaced. It may also be that the pregnant mother's abdomen was hit by external force in the early stages of pregnancy, or it may be caused by insufficient progesterone.

2. Ectopic pregnancy

If no test tube embryo is seen in the ultrasound at 6 to 7 weeks, but there is bleeding and the human chorionic hormone level is still high, it is necessary to consider whether it is an ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy means that the fertilization of sperm and egg has not yet been completed and the embryo has not implanted in the uterus, which may be the uterus, ovary, bilateral fallopian tubes, abdomen or cervix. In addition to the sign of bleeding, there may also be symptoms of lower abdominal distension and pain. Because ectopic pregnancy is an abnormal pregnancy, it must be terminated. Generally, laparoscopy is used for treatment, and drugs may also be administered to cause the test tube embryo to shrink naturally.

3. Early embryo detachment

Early embryo separation can also be manifested as bleeding, which may occur at any stage of pregnancy. Generally, there are no symptoms. Pregnant women may suddenly feel abdominal pain and have acute bleeding. Sometimes, it is not until the absence of fetal movement or a decreased fetal heart rate is discovered that the embryo has been detached in the early stages, and a cesarean section is performed urgently. Early embryo separation will seriously affect the fetus's digestion and absorption of nutrients, may cause fetal distress, or even fetal death, and will also cause lower abdominal pain and severe bleeding in the pregnant mother.

4. Cervical polyps

Cervical polyps may also cause vaginal bleeding. If you have sex during pregnancy, it may also cause bleeding, but bleeding from cervical polyps is not likely to affect the fetus. Unless there is heavy bleeding, treatment will be delayed until after delivery. Most of the cervical polyps are caused by personal physical constitution. Most of them are normal. Some people may have bleeding symptoms during sexual intercourse or exertion.

5. Hydatidiform mole

Hydatidiform mole is caused by the failure of the test tube embryo to develop normally, and its cells proliferate abnormally, resulting in extremely swollen villus. Therefore, pregnant women with hydatidiform mole will have abnormally high levels of human chorionic gonadotropin, and some even have severe nausea. During ultrasound examination, the uterus looks like it is filled with "little snowflakes". Abnormal embryonic development requires termination of pregnancy. At this time, uterine curettage is generally used to remove abnormal test tube embryo tissue, but there may be a possibility of invasive hydatidiform mole or choriocarcinoma. Therefore, continuous follow-up is required after the operation.
