How long does it take to tell if you have twins?

Because in the early stages of pregnancy, the diagnosis of twins is mostly based on B-ultrasound, so it usually takes about 50 days of pregnancy to do a B-ultrasound to confirm that it is twins. Because if you check too early, sometimes you can only confirm that it is one child. When you go to the hospital for B-ultrasound after a period of time, you may find that another child is born.

This is because when it is too early, the fetal bud has not fully grown out, so the doctor may only see a test tube embryo under B-ultrasound. Therefore, if you want to check accurately, it is best to do B-ultrasound after 50 days of pregnancy. In the early stages of pregnancy, as the clinical manifestations are not yet very typical, B-ultrasound examination is used as the standard at this time.

Around 6-7 weeks of pregnancy, an ultrasound examination can show the number of gestational sacs and thus determine whether it is a single or multiple pregnancy. Twin babies usually have two gestational sacs, or two test tube embryos can be seen during an ultrasound examination. Under normal circumstances, in addition to confirming whether it is a single or multiple pregnancy, the B-ultrasound examination also needs to confirm the chorionicity. For twin pregnancy, there are many indicators to be tested. Therefore, it is recommended to choose a local hospital for regular prenatal checkups during pregnancy. During pregnancy, you must pay attention to regular prenatal checkups. If you feel any discomfort, go to the hospital immediately.

After a woman becomes pregnant, there will be certain differences in the development of the test tube embryo in the uterine cavity, so it usually takes about 14 weeks of pregnancy to see whether it is twins. But some women may be able to tell that they are having twins at 50 days of pregnancy. However, some women may have a short menopause period and the other test tube embryo has not grown normally. Therefore, only one test tube embryo is temporarily seen growing. During the follow-up ultrasound, they will find that they are twins. If after 14 weeks of pregnancy, if the baby is still a single baby, it is unlikely that twins will appear.
