Signs of premature birth at eight months

Getting pregnant is not an easy thing. Getting pregnant is one thing, and giving birth is another. The whole process of ten months of pregnancy is very painful, and you also have to worry about the baby's condition. Some pregnant women will have premature babies, and there will be signs when they are eight months pregnant. So what are the symptoms of eight-month premature babies? Let’s take a look together.

What are the symptoms of eight-month-old premature babies?

1. Uterine contractions

Between the 29th and 36th weeks of pregnancy, if regular uterine contractions occur and the frequency is very high, it may indicate that the pregnant mother is at risk of premature birth.

2. Enlarged cervix

Between 29 and 36 weeks of pregnancy, the frequency of uterine contractions is more than 2 times every 10 minutes. Pregnant women will begin to feel soreness, a bit like the abdominal pain during menstruation. Not only will the lower abdomen feel uncomfortable, but the groin will also hurt and there will be persistent lower back pain. Severe cases may also be accompanied by increased female secretions and vaginal bleeding. If the cervix is more than 1 cm larger than the first time it was checked, it should be premature pain, and you should go to the obstetrics and gynecology department for treatment.

3. Swelling of waist muscles

If the pregnant mother's lower abdomen becomes loose and hard repeatedly, and the muscles feel hard and swollen, there are at least 1 to 2 uterine contractions every 10 minutes, lasting more than 30 seconds, and accompanied by continuous pain, this situation is a sign of premature birth, and the pregnant mother should go to the hospital for a physical examination as soon as possible.

4. Pink vaginal discharge or amniotic fluid rupture

If in the late pregnancy (29 to 36 weeks), the pregnant mother experiences regular contraction of the uterus and vaginal bleeding, and the bleeding is heavy at this time, it may be a sign of premature birth and she should go to the hospital for examination first.

5. Early rupture of amniotic fluid

During the 29th to 36th week of pregnancy, if there is a stream of warm water-like liquid like urine in the vagina that is discharged slowly and uncontrollably, it is early rupture of amniotic fluid, a sign of premature birth.

Causes of premature birth of babies

1. If the pregnant woman has uterine malformation or has acquired cervical damage due to childbirth, miscarriage or surgical operation, the relaxation of the internal os of the cervix may cause placental abruption and premature birth.

2. During pregnancy, if the mother suffers from an acute infectious disease, such as rubella, influenza, subacute infectious hepatitis, subacute pyelonephritis, acute cholecystitis, acute appendicitis, pregnancy-induced hypertension, heart disease, etc., these diseases are also very likely to cause premature births.

3. The mother's endocrine imbalance, such as insufficient progesterone or estrogen, severe hyperthyroidism, diabetes, etc. can also lead to premature birth.

4. Pregnant women with a history of trauma and surgical treatment may suffer from insufficient tissue oxygen due to tension, anxiety, and high blood pressure, and insufficient oxygen production in the uterus and embryo, leading to premature births.
