Walking around during the confinement period can cause uterine prolapse

Many people think that walking too much during the confinement period will cause uterine prolapse. Is that really the case? In fact, walking frequently after giving birth will not easily cause uterine prolapse, but the frequency and intensity of walking after giving birth should be controlled. It is not suitable to walk for too long or too hard. In addition, pregnant women should also take proper care to ensure adequate daily nutrition.

Under normal circumstances, the uterus is fixed in the pelvis by the cruciate ligaments. The cruciate ligaments will expand when expectant mothers give birth. Some mothers may suffer ligament damage after giving birth, which will immediately lead to the deterioration of local tissues and mild relaxation of the uterus. If mothers do not take good care of themselves after giving birth, and do not pay attention to postpartum health care, long-term accumulation may lead to uterine prolapse.

If expectant mothers have premature labor or delayed labor during delivery, the possibility of uterine prolapse after giving birth will be immediately higher than that of mothers who give birth normally. Precipitous labor means that it takes less than 3 hours from regular uterine contractions to the birth of the baby. Mothers who give birth prematurely are compressed and torn by the sudden tilt of the head because the cervical tissue and tendon muscles have not yet fully expanded. If they are not restored in time after giving birth, the cervical support tissue after delivery cannot recover, which may cause uterine prolapse. The reason why delayed labor can easily lead to uterine prolapse is that the fetal head position compresses the vagina and alluvial plain tissues for too long, causing damage to the alluvial plain tissues and possibly causing uterine prolapse.

Not paying attention to rest after giving birth, participating in physical work too early, doing too much physical work, and squatting too much may also cause uterine prolapse. Within one month to 42 days after giving birth, pregnant women should pay attention to rest. It is best to sit or stand when doing daily work to avoid squatting for a long time. After the confinement period, you can do some postpartum exercises appropriately, such as anal lifting exercises, exercises to train the back muscles and abdominal muscles, etc. Appropriate exercises are very beneficial for the body's recovery after giving birth.
