What can I eat to relieve nausea and vomiting during early pregnancy?

Many young pregnant women experience dizziness, nausea, vomiting, drooling, partial eclipse, fatigue, etc. during the 6th to 12th week of pregnancy, especially on an empty stomach in the morning. What can I eat to relieve nausea and retching during pregnancy?

(1) Pregnant women can keep simple snacks such as cookies before going to bed. When a pregnant woman wakes up in the middle of the night with a nauseous feeling, eating some cookies may help her feel better and go back to sleep. When waking up in the morning, pregnant women can eat a few cookies and rest for 20 to 30 minutes before waking up. But don't eat too much, just eat a little to fill your stomach.

(2) When pregnant women feel uncomfortable, they can drink some tea or boiled milk; adding some lemon to hot water is also okay. Generally speaking, cold foods or hot foods are less likely to cause nausea and vomiting. Because cold food tastes light and does not irritate the gastric mucosa, pregnant women should try to avoid eating warm food when they have severe nausea.

(3) Pregnant women should avoid making noise after meals, rest more and do less exercise. Pregnant women should eat small meals and avoid eating greasy foods. Spices such as chili peppers should be avoided as much as possible to avoid excessive irritation to the stomach and intestines. During this period, the energy use of pregnant women should be relatively reduced along with the degree of nausea and vomiting, thereby alleviating the discomfort symptoms.

(4) Pregnant women should try to avoid eating or smelling foods or smells that may make them feel nauseous or want to vomit. If a pregnant woman feels nauseous after eating anything, don't worry, try to eat things that can stimulate appetite, even if these foods cannot make you nutritionally balanced. No matter what it is, it is much better to eat a little bit than to eat a large meal and then throw it all up.

(5) Pregnant women should eat small meals frequently or have snacks at any time and never leave their stomach empty for a moment. Because an empty stomach is most likely to cause nausea and vomiting. In addition, eating more light foods rich in protein can help suppress nausea and vomiting.

(6) Avoid eating high-fat foods because they take longer to digest and absorb. Avoid eating greasy, spicy, smelly and fried foods, as these foods will irritate the digestive tract of pregnant women, which has become very sensitive.

(7) Although drinking plenty of water is crucial to preventing dehydration, pregnant women do not need to drink a lot of water all at once and fill up their stomachs. Because then the stomach will not be able to hold other anti-vomiting food. If vomiting is very frequent, pregnant women can try drinking some sports drinks containing glucose, salt and potassium, which can help pregnant women replenish the lost electrolyte solution.

(8) You do not have to take prenatal vitamins on an empty stomach right after waking up in the morning. Pregnant women can try taking vitamins with meals, or before going to bed at night to avoid gastrointestinal discomfort.
