Blood in urine after menstruation

Blood in urine after menstruation

If you experience blood in your urine after your period, you should consider that it is not related to your menstruation, because blood in the urine is excreted through the urethra, which means that there is blood in the urine. This may be due to a disease of the ureter, bladder or urinary stones, including kidney inflammation or the secretion of red blood cells, which are all manifestations of abnormal urine.

Blood in the urine is called hematuria. If there are more than 0 to 2 red blood cells in the urine, blood or clots can be seen with the naked eye.

Cause explanation

1. Urinary stones: These include kidney, ureter, bladder or urethra stones.

2. Nephritis: including acute and chronic nephritis, focal nephritis, benign acute hemorrhagic nephritis, etc.

3. Urogenital system tumors: kidney tumors, ureter tumors, bladder tumors, prostate tumors, etc.

4. Urinary and reproductive system infections: such as prostatitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, renal tuberculosis, cystitis, etc.

5. Other urinary system diseases: such as renal ptosis, wandering kidney, congenital polycystic kidney, etc.

If hematuria occurs at the beginning of urination but the later urine is normal, it is usually caused by urethral disease. For example, if the beginning of urination is normal but hematuria occurs when urination is about to end, it is usually caused by cystitis and prostate disease. If hematuria occurs throughout the whole process and the blood is dark red, it is usually caused by kidney disease.

Diet therapy

1. Take 30 grams of fresh Amaranth root and 25 grams of Plantain, decoct in water and take it 2 to 3 times a day for several days. It is effective for hematuria caused by urinary tract infection.

2. Use 25 to 50 grams each of banana root and Houttuynia cordata, decoct in water and take it 3 times a day for 3 consecutive days. The hematuria may improve.

3. Take 15 grams of sea sand, 25 grams of Achyranthes bidentata, and 50 grams of white sugar, decoct them in water and drink it warm. It can cure bloody urine and pain caused by bladder damp-heat.

4. Take 25 grams of Stemona bulbus and 50 grams of fresh Rehmannia glutinosa, mash them into juice and stew them to drink warm, which can treat hematuria. [1]
