Why does threatened abortion cause abdominal pain and bleeding?

Many women may encounter some unexpected situations during pregnancy. In addition to being related to the woman’s own physical fitness, this may also be directly related to the development of the fetus. Therefore, it is very common for some women to have unstable fetal position in the early stages of pregnancy. When a woman has threatened miscarriage, her abdomen will also have obvious symptoms. So why does threatened miscarriage cause abdominal pain and bleeding?

1. The so-called threatened abortion refers to a small amount of vaginal bleeding before the 28th week of pregnancy, followed by paroxysmal lower abdominal pain or back pain. Gynecological examination shows that the cervix is not dilated, the fetal membranes are not ruptured, the products of conception have not been expelled, the size of the uterus is consistent with the number of weeks of amenorrhea, and there is hope of continuing the pregnancy. After rest and treatment, if the bleeding stops and the lower abdominal pain disappears, the pregnancy can continue; if the vaginal bleeding increases or the lower abdominal pain worsens, miscarriage may become inevitable.

2. If pregnant mothers experience back pain and a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen that does not ease after rest or even gets worse, they should be alert. If the lower abdominal pain worsens, is accompanied by vaginal bleeding, and has tissue-like discharge, you should report it to your doctor immediately, as this may be a symptom of threatened abortion. If symptoms of threatened abortion occur, pay attention to whether there is any tissue discharged in the vaginal discharge at any time. It is best to keep the discharge for your doctor's observation. If the amount of bleeding increases, you should go to the hospital for treatment immediately. At the same time, pregnant mothers should rest in bed more and reduce activities, but this does not mean they should lie in bed motionless for 24 hours. They should do some light activities appropriately.

3. Threatened abortion usually occurs during early pregnancy. Women who do not pay attention to personal conditioning after pregnancy, have irregular diets, are under great mental stress, and are overworked are very likely to experience threatened abortion. Abnormal fetal development can also cause threatened abortion. Generally, the symptoms of threatened abortion are obvious abdominal pain and bleeding, and some patients may also experience dizziness, tinnitus and other phenomena. Women should take good care of themselves after threatened abortion, avoid eating irritating foods, keep a good mood, and pay attention to personal hygiene.
