Pregnant and lazy to give birth to a boy or a girl

During pregnancy, women will experience many symptoms. Each symptom is a normal physiological reaction. We cannot determine the gender of the fetus based on these symptoms. Becoming lazy during pregnancy is a symptom of early sleepiness, and hormonal changes in pregnant women will cause fatigue. Pregnant women need to participate in appropriate exercise to help the development of the fetus, but becoming lazy during pregnancy cannot tell the gender of the fetus.

First of all, after pregnancy, pregnant women are definitely not as active as before, and they don’t have to do much housework by themselves. They just lie down, eat and sleep all day, so naturally they won’t be very diligent. From a medical perspective, endocrine changes during pregnancy can cause reactions such as fatigue and anxiety, which basically disappear after the second trimester. The mood of pregnant women will gradually improve. Therefore, being particularly lazy after pregnancy may not necessarily be related to gender.

Secondly, you must pay attention to your lifestyle habits during pregnancy and focus on a balanced diet. Eat more fruits, but remember to eat less fruits with cool nature; try to avoid crowded places, and go to parks with fresh air and fewer people; if you feel any discomfort in your body, go to the hospital for diagnosis immediately, and do not blindly believe in the folk remedies of the older generation.

Finally, many people will guess the baby's gender based on some pregnancy reactions of pregnant women and search related terms on the Internet. Of course, whether it is accurate or not is not certain. Generally speaking, the baby's gender can be detected in the 12th week of pregnancy. However, the doctor cannot tell us this due to professional ethics. In fact, as long as the baby is healthy, whether it is a boy or a girl, they are all good children.

A more accurate way to determine gender

1. Currently, among the practical and relatively reliable methods of knowing the gender of the baby early, there is: ultrasound scanning. Ultrasound is a type of sound wave, and reports so far show that it has no adverse effects on the fetus, so it is very commonly used in the obstetrics and gynecology community. When using ultrasound to diagnose the sex of a fetus, the accuracy for a boy can reach over 95%, while the reliability for a girl is only about 85%. Moreover, the accuracy is directly related to the experience of the ultrasound technician or doctor.

2. Amniocentesis: Amniocentesis is mainly used to diagnose whether the fetus has chromosomal or neural tube defects, and is usually performed between 16 and 20 weeks of pregnancy. Since the chromosomes of the fetus can be known, the sex of the fetus can also be known. The accuracy is 99%, but there is a 1% chance of miscarriage. Therefore, the medical community does not recommend performing amniocentesis or drawing umbilical cord blood just to predict the sex of the fetus.

3. Chorionic villus sampling: also known as "chorionic villus sampling", is usually performed between 11 and 14 weeks of pregnancy. The main purpose is the same as amniocentesis, which is to diagnose whether the chromosomes of the fetus are normal, but some people also use it to diagnose the gender of the fetus. The accuracy rate can reach 98%. Although chorionic villus sampling can determine the sex of the fetus as early as 11 weeks of pregnancy, it may cause miscarriage (3% to 5%) and may also harm the fetus, causing defects in its hands and feet. Therefore, it is best not to undergo this test just to find out the sex of the fetus.

4. DNA blood test: Genetic engineering technology can be used to take the mother's blood to determine the sex of the fetus. It can be done after 8 weeks of pregnancy and has no effect on either the pregnant woman or the fetus. This technology is already very mature both abroad and in Hong Kong. It is currently the earliest, fastest and safest method to identify the sex of the fetus. Because sampling is simple and convenient, has no effect on either the mother or the fetus, and has a high accuracy rate of up to 99.5%, it has become a hot topic among modern people.
