Where does the fetus go?

I believe that many pregnant mothers have a question when they gently caress the baby in their belly: Will the baby excrete feces and urine? If so, where do they go?

We all know that the fetus grows and develops in the mother's uterus and obtains nutrients from the pregnant mother through the umbilical cord. Eating and drinking are normal, but the fetus starts to urinate at 2 and a half months, and this urine will be directly excreted into the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman. When the fetus is in a sucking position, urine will enter the fetus' body and then be discharged. One of the main components of the amniotic fluid of pregnant women is fetal urine.

In other words, before the baby is born, in addition to sleeping, eating, drinking, and fetal movement in the mother's body, they also continue to drink their own urine! A full-term fetus can "drink" 500-700 ml of amniotic fluid every day. Does this mean that everyone is in trouble?

Although it sounds dirty, this behavior will not only not cause harm to the fetus, but will be beneficial to the growth and development of the fetus. During this process, various substances in the amniotic fluid (hair, fallen skin cells, etc.) will be retained in the fetal intestine, and then the filtered clean amniotic fluid will be discharged, ensuring the cleanliness and health of the amniotic fluid and suitable for the survival of the fetus.

In addition, since there is no unnecessary waste in the composition of fetal urine, there are no disadvantages except that the smell may be unpleasant.

What about the fetus's excrement? It would be discharged directly into the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman, right?

Of course it’s not easy! In fact, the fetus is not easy to excrete excrement, otherwise the turbidity of amniotic fluid will cause danger. The substances it produces are transmitted through the pregnant mother. The baby will excrete the first feces 6 to 8 hours after birth. It is usually dark green. It is the feces accumulated in the intestines and stomach by the hair and skin cells in the process of swallowing the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman.
