Is leukocyte esterase 3+ serious?

Is leukocyte esterase 3+ serious?

Generally speaking, women will find out a lot of data when doing routine leucorrhea examination. This also includes leukocyte esterase. These data actually indicate some problems in the female body and can be said to be a warning signal. Of course, the examination data and some symptoms manifested by the body should be combined to determine the problems that occur in the body. So is a leukocyte esterase reading of 3+ serious?

1. Routine examination of leucorrhea shows three plus levels of leukocyte esterase, indicating bacterial vaginosis, but no Trichomonas infection. Bacterial vaginosis is also commonly associated with vaginal itching. However, if the itching is obvious, even if no fungus is detected, the possibility of fungal infection should be considered and can be treated with medication.

2. First of all, the reason why women suffer from candidal vaginitis is due to unclean sexual life. Experts suggest that when you are overly tired and under too much psychological pressure, it is best to reduce the frequency of sexual life to avoid inducing candidal vaginitis. In fact, many gynecological inflammations in women are caused by unclean sexual life. Secondly, bad hygiene habits are also the cause of candidal vaginitis in women, such as washing underwear and socks together, sharing a bathtub with patients with candidal vaginitis, borrowing other people's underwear, etc., which can easily cause cross infection. When going to the toilet, wiping toilet paper from the anus to the urethra will bring intestinal fungi to the vulva and cause inflammation.

3. When the patient's resistance decreases, he or she will suffer from many diseases, and candidal vaginitis is also closely related to resistance. Candida albicans lurks in the human oropharynx, intestines, skin and vaginal mucosa, coexists peacefully with the human body and does not cause disease. However, when the body's resistance is reduced or suffers from a serious illness, candidal vaginitis will occur. The indiscriminate use of antibiotics is also a cause of women suffering from candidal vaginitis. Many people use sterilization frequently, but for people with candidal vaginitis, antibiotics will inhibit the lactobacilli in the vagina, disrupt the natural ecological balance of the vagina, destroy the microenvironment in the vagina, and cause the onset of candidal vaginitis.
