What to eat to recover faster after caesarean section

Although cesarean section can reduce the pain of childbirth for the mother, the recovery period after cesarean section is slower than that of natural birth. After all, a caesarean section is also a surgery. After a caesarean section, if the mother can eat more nutritious food, it can not only increase milk production but also speed up physical recovery. So, what should you eat to recover faster after a caesarean section? Then it must be various nutritious soups.

1. Within one week after a cesarean section, the mother can tie a belly band to protect the wound. It is generally recommended that you keep your abdominal band on for 48 hours after surgery. In the 3-5 days after delivery, you can take off the belly belt when resting in bed, and tie it again when you get up and move around, so as not to affect intestinal peristalsis and prolong flatulence time.

2. Wound healing requires sufficient protein to help, so pay attention to adequate protein intake. In addition, constipation is a major hidden danger that leads to wound tearing, so while strengthening nutrition, mothers should also not forget to drink more water and eat green vegetables to ensure smooth bowel movements and prevent constipation.

Care of wounds after cesarean section

After delivery, you should pay attention to turning over more often to promote the early recovery of the paralyzed intestinal muscle peristalsis function and expel the gas in the intestine as soon as possible. 12 hours after the operation, you can drink some senna leaf water to help relieve abdominal distension.

Do not get the wound wet or dirty before it heals. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately and apply iodine to disinfect it.

Before coughing, laughing or getting out of bed, use your hands and a belly band to secure the wound area. When getting out of bed, lie on your side first, use your hands to support your body to get up, and avoid sitting up directly with abdominal strength. You can take a shower one week after the operation, but you can take a sponge bath before that.

After a cesarean section, new mothers should adopt a semi-recumbent position and turn over more often. This will promote the discharge of lochia, avoid lochia accumulation in the uterine cavity, cause infection and affect uterine reduction, and also facilitate the healing of the uterine incision.

Keep the wound clean and hygienic to avoid wound infection. Avoid exposing the wound to direct sunlight, which will darken the scar. If there are scabs, do not scratch them with your hands, let them fall off naturally.
