Vaginal cancer is a malignant tumor among gynecological tumors. Although this disease is relatively rare, it cannot be completely ignored. The symptoms of vaginal cancer are actually similar to those of other gynecological diseases, so only after fully understanding the symptoms of vaginal cancer can we better prevent it. Symptoms of vaginal cancer include vaginal discharge, compression symptoms, abnormal leucorrhea, etc. What is vaginal cancer? Vaginal cancer is a malignant tumor of the vagina. It is less common and is mostly squamous cell carcinoma. Primary vaginal malignancies are rare and are mostly secondary, arising from cancers of the cervix, vulva, endometrium, rectum, etc. Because the vaginal wall is thin and the lymph is rich, it generally progresses quickly. Also, because it is connected to the bladder and rectum, it is easily affected. The most common vaginal lesions are papillary or cauliflower-shaped, followed by ulcer-shaped or moist types. Flat lesions on the mucosal surface are rare. Because of its rapid growth, it spreads quickly around the vagina and is transported quickly by lymph nodes. What are the common symptoms of vaginal cancer? 1. Vaginal discharge When you have vaginal cancer. Patients will experience abnormal discharge, which is mainly related to tumor necrosis and infection. The discharge is mostly watery or rice-soup-like, or the discharge may contain blood. 2. Compression symptoms When advanced tumors compress nearby organs. Corresponding compression symptoms may occur. For example, when the bladder and urethra are compressed, frequent urination, urgency, and hematuria may occur; when the rectum is compressed, defecation difficulties and tenesmus may occur. Advanced patients may also experience bloody stools and symptoms of tumor penetration of the rectum. 3. Vaginal bleeding It often manifests as contact bleeding, which usually occurs after sexual intercourse, or when using instruments and after menopause. 4. Abnormal leucorrhea The leucorrhea of patients with vaginal cancer may be yellow or yellow-green, sticky, and have a foul odor. They may also continue to have leucorrhea that is like rice washing water and has a strong odor. Early detection methods for vaginal cancer 1. Imaging examination: It includes imaging examinations such as X-ray examination, intravenous pyelography, bladder, rectosigmoidoscopy, CT and MRI. The specific examination to be taken needs to be decided by the doctor based on the patient's personal situation. 2. Vaginal examination: A clean plastic speculum can be used to observe the entire vaginal wall, often allowing for biopsy of tumors and further cytological examinations in patients without obvious vaginal tumors. The above are methods for early detection of vaginal cancer. I hope it can be of some help to everyone. At the same time, you also need to decide based on your own actual situation, and not check blindly. Any disease must be prevented and treated early. |
