The most obvious symptoms of cervical cancer recurrence

The most obvious symptoms of cervical cancer recurrence

Gynecological diseases that women often suffer from are uterine diseases. The cervix is an important part of the uterus. Diseases that are prone to occur in the cervix are cervicitis and cervical cancer. The cure rate of cervical cancer is relatively high, but recurrence may occur. If you don't take the necessary care of your body after treatment, the cancer can come back. What are the most obvious symptoms of cervical cancer recurrence?

The symptoms of cervical cancer recurrence are irregular vaginal bleeding, abnormal vaginal secretions, large amounts of fluid discharge, and a foul or fishy odor, which are the most typical symptoms of cervical cancer recurrence. When the disease relapses, some people may also show systemic symptoms. If the disease metastasizes to the lungs, they may cough up blood, and if the disease metastasizes to other parts of the body, they may feel physically unwell.

Patients who have undergone cervical cancer surgery are required to undergo regular check-ups. Follow-up examinations should be conducted in the order of one month, three months, and six months after cervical cancer surgery. The chance of cervical carcinoma in situ recurring is small. The later the stage, the higher the chance of recurrence. Therefore, the most obvious symptoms of cervical cancer recurrence are bleeding, discharge, abdominal pain, etc.

Cervical cancer is one of the common gynecological malignancies. The treatment principle of cervical cancer is surgery and radiotherapy as the main treatment, supplemented by chemotherapy. Recurrence of cervical cancer is divided into local symptoms and systemic symptoms. For example, if the cancer infiltrates the cervix, vagina, or pelvic wall, there will be foul-smelling vaginal discharge, irregular vaginal bleeding, and lower abdominal pain.

If there is infiltration of the bladder or rectum, urination pain, hematuria, and bloody stools may occur; if there is hematogenous or lymphatic metastasis, multiple organ failure may occur. It is recommended that patients with cervical cancer go to the hospital for follow-up in time if they experience any discomfort after treatment.

1. Irregular vaginal bleeding or leucorrhea with odor

If vaginal bleeding occurs, such as during menstruation or bleeding due to trauma, you need to go to the hospital for medical treatment immediately. If you find foul-smelling vaginal discharge, you should also be alert.

2. Lower limb pain or edema, abdominal pain

If the tumor becomes larger or there are problems with the surrounding tissue, which can be felt by pressing the abdomen with the hands, and the pain continues to intensify, drug treatment will be needed.

3. Blood in stool or urine

If cervical cancer metastasizes to the rectum or bladder, problems with defecation and hematuria will occur. If discovered, go to the hospital for treatment in time.

4. Bone metastasis

If it metastasizes to the bones, bone pain will occur, and in severe cases, problems with movement will occur.

5. Cough or chest pain

Cervical cancer can also metastasize to the lungs, causing coughing, chest pain, and difficulty breathing.
