Spotting in early pregnancy indicates a strong embryo

Spotting in early pregnancy indicates a strong embryo

The early stages of pregnancy are actually a relatively dangerous stage because the probability of spontaneous abortion is very high at this time. Therefore, if a pregnant woman finds blood in her lower body in the early stages of pregnancy, she needs to pay attention to it, mainly because blood in the lower body may be a symptom caused by threatened abortion. In fact, there is also a saying that if you see spotting in the early stages of pregnancy, it means that the embryo is more active. Is this true?

Regarding this issue, we must understand that after pregnancy, the uterus and abdominal cavity are in a state of congestion. Even a small, gentle stimulation can cause symptoms of vaginal bleeding. Generally speaking, this is normal. As long as the fetus has a heartbeat, which means the embryo is very strong, it can survive and can be saved. If the spotting is severe, that is, heavy bleeding accompanied by lower abdominal pain, this is an ectopic pregnancy. Severe cases may be caused by the rare hydatidiform mole, which requires sufficient attention.

Symptoms of pregnancy in women include: 1. Amenorrhea. Regular menstruation not coming on time is a sign of pregnancy. 2. The breasts become larger and more sensitive. This is due to the increase in hormone levels in the body and will gradually improve as the pregnancy progresses. 3. Frequent urination and urgency occur, which is caused by the increase of fluid in the body. 4. The emergence of symptoms such as vomiting and fatigue is a very important reaction during pregnancy. If it is serious, medical treatment is required.

As long as one or two of these symptoms occur, it needs to be taken seriously. Also, if someone's eating habits change, it also needs attention. Especially in the early stages of pregnancy, the situation of the fetus in the uterus is still unstable and spotting is very likely to occur. If this happens, we need to go to the hospital for treatment in time. As long as the embryo is strong, it can be saved, so there is no need to worry.

There are three main reasons for bleeding in early pregnancy:

1. Cervical lesions

If a pregnant woman has cervical lesions before pregnancy, resulting in erosion, or already has cervical polyps, then after pregnancy, it is very likely that the surface capillaries will rupture and bleed due to hormonal changes. Therefore, when a pregnant woman has symptoms of vaginal bleeding in the early stages of pregnancy, a cervical examination should be performed.

2. Ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy can also cause bleeding in early pregnancy because the fertilized egg implants outside the uterus and cannot provide the embryo with sufficient nutrients, causing the gradually developing fertilized egg to expand the fallopian tube wall and cause the tube wall to rupture. Bleeding caused by ectopic pregnancy usually occurs during the 7th to 8th week of pregnancy, accompanied by severe abdominal pain or massive intra-abdominal bleeding.

3. Hydatidiform mole

Pregnant women with hydatidiform mole may also experience pregnancy bleeding, accompanied by severe morning sickness or palpitations. Women who are younger than 20 or older than 35, who have a history of miscarriage or hydatidiform mole, etc. should be careful about whether they may get pregnant with hydatidiform mole again.

What to do if you have bleeding in early pregnancy

Because the causes of bleeding in early pregnancy vary, you should go to the hospital for examination after bleeding. The following treatments are available for bleeding caused by miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, and hydatidiform mole.

1. Miscarriage

The most common condition for patients with early pregnancy bleeding is threatened abortion. Among these pregnant women, the embryo develops normally, and ultrasound examination shows embryonic tissue in the uterus and fetal heartbeat. These people should rest in bed and take progesterone to stop bleeding and preserve the fetus. They can usually be cured.

2. Ectopic pregnancy

Blood tests of hCG values and B-ultrasound examinations can accurately determine whether an ectopic pregnancy has occurred. Pregnant women with a history of ectopic pregnancy, abnormal uterine structure, intrauterine contraceptive device, or who have undergone fallopian tube surgery are all considered to be at high risk of ectopic pregnancy.

3. Hydatidiform mole

Once it is confirmed to be a hydatidiform mole, an abortion surgery must be performed and the chorionic tissue in the uterus must be scraped away, and the hCG index in the body must be tracked for normality within six months.
