Can breast adenosis turn into cancer?

Can breast adenosis turn into cancer?

Breast diseases may cause cancer, mainly because the mammary alveoli affect the proliferation of connective tissue and cause blockage of the mammary glands, affecting the function of the mammary glands. Therefore, women need to pay attention to breast diseases to avoid worsening of the disease. Breast diseases are divided into lobular hyperplasia, fibroadenosis and sclerosing adenosis. The chances of cancer developing from these symptoms can be solved based on your maintenance.

Mammary adenosis is a structural malformation of the breast, which is characterized by focal hyperplasia of the alveoli and ductules of the mammary gland, accompanied by varying degrees of connective tissue hyperplasia. The onset of the disease is often related to endocrine disorders and mental factors. Its onset is divided into three types: lobular hyperplasia, fibroadenosis, and sclerosing adenosis. Except for lobular hyperplasia, which will not become cancerous, the other two types have the possibility of becoming cancerous. Breast B-ultrasound, mammography, puncture biopsy, surgical resection, and pathological examination can provide a clear diagnosis. Surgical removal can be curative. To sum up, except for lobular hyperplasia, other breast adenosis may have the potential to become cancerous.

What are the early symptoms of breast cancer?

In recent years, breast cancer has been a high incidence disease both abroad and at home, posing a serious threat to women's health and lives, causing panic among everyone. When should you be alert to breast cancer when there are changes in your body?

1. Changes in nipples. Changes in the nipples and breast skin, some nipple lotion, and some discharge from the nipples, mainly red or black blood, are all early symptoms of breast cancer.

2. The appearance of breast lumps or localized thickening of the breast glands can usually be discovered during a physical examination through breast B-ultrasound. Breast cancer lumps are generally painless, hard, have unclear boundaries, and poor mobility. However, because more than 25% of early breast cancers have no clinical symptoms, they must be detected through breast ultrasound and breast mammography. Sometimes, ultrasound and mammography are negative and can only be detected through ductoscopy.

For those with high-risk factors, such as those with a clear family history, breast MRI screening is recommended because breast MRI screening currently has the highest sensitivity in diagnosing breast cancer. However, due to the high cost of the examination, it is not currently routinely recommended in clinical practice.

3. As breast cancer worsens and the tumor metastasizes, you may feel swollen lymph nodes in the armpits, or find tumor metastasis in other parts of the body, resulting in corresponding symptoms.
