Does itchy breasts during pregnancy mean I'm having a boy?

Itchy breasts during pregnancy has little to do with whether you are carrying a boy or a girl. The causes of itchy breasts during pregnancy include prurigo gravidarum, dry skin, nipple eczema, etc.

Possible causes of itchy breasts during pregnancy

1. Pregnancy skin disease: More than 15% of pregnant women may encounter this skin disease. The whole body may itch, usually occurring during the sixth or seventh month of pregnancy. There are no changes on the skin other than itching, and no rashes or blisters appear. The cause of the disease is generally believed to be related to the increase in estrogen during pregnancy and has no effect on the fetus.

2. Pregnancy-related toxic skin rash: The prevalence rate is about 1%, mostly occurring in short and obese pregnant women, and most often occurs when stretch marks appear. It is currently believed that it may be related to hormonal imbalance. The comforting thing is that this skin itching will not harm the fetus.

3. Pregnancy rash: About 2% of pregnant women may suffer from this disease, which usually occurs between the 4th and 9th months of pregnancy. Small red rashes appear on the skin, most often on the extremities, and look like insect bites. Some pregnant women think that the problem is caused by lice or fleas on their pets, but in fact it is caused by the pregnancy itself and has no effect on the fetus.

Common methods to determine whether the baby is a boy or a girl

1. Look at the belly shape

If the belly is concentrated and round in the front, it means a son. If the belly is loose and spreads outward from the waist, making the pregnancy more obvious, it means a daughter.

2. Look at the pregnancy line

The pregnancy line below the belly button is very thick and dark, like a straight line, and the part above the belly button is the same, but slightly lighter than the one below the belly button, and can grow all the way to the breast. In this case, 95% of the time, the baby is a boy. If the pregnancy line does not extend to the chest, the baby is usually a girl.

3. Look at the ultrasound report

First: Looking at the data, if the difference between the length and the width is more than twice, it is more likely to be a boy. If the length and width are equal, the baby is likely to be a girl.

Second: look at the shape. If it is eggplant-shaped or long, it is likely to be a boy. If it is round, it is likely to be a girl.

Third: Use B-ultrasound to check gender directly, which is simple, crude and highly accurate. But there are occasional turnarounds, with an accuracy rate of 95%.
