What to do if your hair gets wet during confinement

What to do if your hair gets wet during confinement

Many people are very careful about taking care of their bodies during the confinement period. In particular, some elderly people believe that you cannot wash your hair or take a bath during the confinement period because you may develop confinement diseases if you are not careful. Some women sweat a lot during the confinement period due to their physical constitution, and their hair may get wet with sweat at any time. So what should women do when their hair is soaked with sweat during confinement?

1. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that giving birth is very exhausting for women. If the qi and blood are deficient, it will be easy to sweat. Western medicine believes that this is because pregnancy will cause women's bodies to retain water and sodium, that is, a lot of water will be stored in the female body. After delivery, this excess water will be discharged from the body, which is why symptoms of postpartum sweating occur. Therefore, if you sweat easily within half a month to a month and have no other uncomfortable symptoms, then you should not be too nervous and just let nature take its course. If other uncomfortable symptoms occur, then you should take it seriously and it is best to go to the hospital to consult a doctor.

2. During the confinement period, make sure the indoor temperature is not too high and ventilate the room frequently. Be sure to avoid closing doors and windows, open windows frequently for ventilation, and keep the indoor air fresh. In order to prevent the new mother from catching a cold when ventilating the room, you can avoid using convection. When ventilating the room, let the new mother stay in another room, or open the windows of each room when she goes out to bask in the sun.

3. Confinement for women is very particular. Generally, they rest at home for a month. However, women in confinement sweat very easily, and their hair may even get wet after sweating. They don’t know how to deal with it. It is normal for women to sweat during the confinement period, because bleeding will occur during childbirth, which will make the body weak. When you are weak, you will naturally sweat more. This is a normal physiological change and will recover after conditioning. Don't try to stay cool just because you sweat a lot. Your pores are open at this time. Avoid being blown by the wind, otherwise it will cause more pain. If possible, wash your hair at room temperature and then dry it with hot air from a hair dryer. Pay attention to personal hygiene during the confinement period, otherwise it will easily cause postpartum diseases.
