Left ovary not seen

Left ovary not seen

The missing left ovary is discovered only during a routine gynecological examination. This is an abnormal reaction. Once it occurs, the cause of the disease should be identified as soon as possible. This is mostly due to related symptoms caused by ovarian hypoplasia. In this case, relevant treatment should be done to effectively alleviate your condition. There are also a small number of patients who suffer from premature ovarian failure, which will be more difficult to cure.

1. Pituitary gland problems

One of the causes of ovarian hypoplasia and common diseases that lead to abnormal ovulation include pituitary prolactinoma, hyperprolactinemia and Sheehan syndrome. High prolactin levels can inhibit ovulation.

2. Hypothalamic anovulation

Primary organic factors, primary functional factors, secondary organic lesions, and secondary functional factors.

3. Premature ovarian failure

In some women, follicular hypoplasia is caused by premature ovarian failure. The patient has normal menstruation in the early stage and even has a history of childbearing, but then the menstruation becomes infrequent until complete amenorrhea. The follicles in the ovaries of such patients have been exhausted, and it is impossible to use ovulation-stimulating drugs to make the follicles develop, or although there are primordial follicles, they do not respond to gonadotropins.

4. Polycystic ovary syndrome

Polycystic ovary is one of the causes of follicular dysplasia. Polycystic ovary syndrome is the most common reason why women do not ovulate. The characteristics of its ovaries are that the ovaries are enlarged and have multiple small follicles, but they cannot mature. Therefore, drugs are needed to promote follicle development.

In addition, excessive weight loss, mental stress, and other physical health factors can lead to female endocrine disorders, which can directly affect the development of female follicles.

If the follicles are underdeveloped, forcibly using ovulation-inducing drugs in a short period of time to force ovulation will cause the eggs to be released, but they will be immature and therefore cannot lead to normal conception. Even if the sperm and egg combine, miscarriage, stillbirth, etc. are likely to occur. For those with poor follicular development, ovulation-inducing drugs can generally be used. The commonly used Western medicine is clomiphene, and chorionic gonadotropin can also be used. If combined with Chinese medicine, the effect is more ideal. Generally speaking, biphasic body temperature infertility treatment is more effective than monophasic body temperature infertility treatment.

The best time for treatment: ① Treatment should be carried out 3 to 8 days after the end of menstruation; ② Ovarian function will be restored 3 to 6 months after treatment; ③ The peak of pregnancy is 6 to 9 months after treatment; ④ The natural pregnancy rate is as high as 90%.

It is recommended that once follicular hypoplasia is discovered, go to a regular hospital for treatment to avoid delaying treatment.
