Is it good to use a pain stick for caesarean section?

Many women choose to have a cesarean section because they are afraid of the pain during delivery. Park Obstetrics and Gynecology will use a small amount of anesthesia during the process so that the pain of the entire delivery process is relatively small. However, most women will feel severe pain after the cesarean section. Therefore, some women will use pain sticks to relieve pain after cesarean section. So is it good to use pain sticks for cesarean section?

1. Generally, mothers will use pain sticks to relieve and improve postoperative pain after cesarean section. Pain sticks are conducive to postpartum rest and physical recovery. Very few mothers will still feel some pain after using pain sticks. At this time, oral or intramuscular analgesics can be added according to the degree of pain to reduce the pain caused by the operation. Generally, there are no obvious side effects.

2. It is okay for women who have undergone cesarean section to use an analgesic pump. An analgesic pump is a better device for women after surgery because it can relieve the pain in the postoperative wound of the mother. The pain relief effect can reach more than 80%. However, the effect of relieving pain from uterine contractions is not so obvious. After the pain is relieved, the patient will recover faster after the operation, and will be able to turn over and get out of bed earlier. Therefore, if conditions permit, it is recommended that the mother should connect a pain pump after the operation. The pain pump medication can be controlled by yourself. If it is not controlled, the medication will naturally disappear 48 hours after the operation. In addition, the use of an analgesic pump does not increase the risk of postoperative recovery.

3. Using an analgesic stick after surgery will not affect breast milk, which means that the medicine in the analgesic stick will not harm the baby's health. Moreover, using the pain stick can relieve the pain in the body, so the mother will be in the mood to breastfeed the baby as soon as possible. Some mothers may experience nausea, low blood pressure, and irregular flatulence and bowel movements after using the pain stick. Of course, this is a very rare case. After all, everyone's physical condition is different. Some mothers are more sensitive to analgesics and will naturally have a stronger reaction. At this time, you should ask a doctor to check in time to see if you can continue to use the pain stick.
