Dilatation of the internal cervix

Dilatation of the internal cervix

When a woman is close to her due date and if there are signs that the baby is about to be born, the internal cervix will dilate. However, some pregnant women have not reached their due date but have problems with internal cervical dilation. At this time, they need to go to the hospital in time to take targeted treatment measures. Because premature dilation of the internal cervical os may lead to premature birth of the fetus, what should pregnant women pay attention to after the internal cervical os dilation?

Internal cervical dilation usually occurs when pregnant women are supposed to give birth, but sometimes due to some factors, pregnant women may also experience this problem in the second trimester. There are mainly the following aspects to pay attention to when dilating the internal cervical os.

If the internal cervical dilation occurs before delivery, it is quite dangerous and may cause various problems such as miscarriage and premature birth. Therefore, pregnant women need to be extra careful in this situation and should go to the hospital for treatment if the condition is serious.

1. Be sure to get more rest. When a pregnant woman encounters this problem, it is best to rest in bed and not walk around, so as not to stimulate the cervix and cause more severe dilation. You should not use heavy force or overexertion, otherwise it will cause stress on the cervix and cause it to dilate further.

2. Be careful about diet issues. Pregnant women with this condition also need to pay attention to their diet and avoid eating spicy and irritating foods, as this will aggravate the severity of the problem. You should also avoid eating foods that are too dry, as this may cause constipation and make the problem worse during bowel movements. You should drink more warm water and eat more vegetables and fruits that are helpful for excreting waste.

It is very troublesome if the internal cervical os dilation occurs before delivery, and pregnant mothers need to pay careful attention to avoid harm or even loss of the baby. During this period, you should rest more and move less, try not to eat spicy or cold foods, and eat foods that can prevent constipation.
