What is the reason for long-term yellow urine in women

It is naturally not a good sign for female friends to have yellow urine for a long time, because this is not only caused by urethral diseases. Many female friends will also have yellow urine after suffering from gynecological diseases. No matter what the reason is, it is necessary to get a complete diagnosis before treatment. Some patients suffer from urinary tract obstruction or diabetes.

Frequent yellow urine

Urinary tract malformations or functional defects, such as renal dysplasia, polycystic kidney disease, medullary cystic disease, iron-shoe kidney and other kidney, renal pelvis, ureteral malformations or vesicoureteral reflux (an abnormal phenomenon in which urine flows back from the bladder to the renal pelvis during urination), are all prone to infection.

Diabetes is more likely to cause urinary tract infection because the glucose in the urine provides nutrition for bacteria. Once these patients have urinary incontinence, they are prone to pyelonephritis and even acute renal papillary necrosis. Therefore, urinary tract instruments should be avoided in diabetic patients.

Urinary tract obstruction is an important cause of urinary tract infection. Due to stones, tumors, urethral stenosis, prostatic hypertrophy, bladder neck obstruction, phimosis, neurogenic bladder, bladder diverticulum, renal ptosis and other reasons, urine flow is not smooth, bacteria are not easily discharged from the bladder and multiply in large numbers, making infection prone to occur. Generally, 4.5% of pregnant women have bacteriuria, and the incidence rate is higher than that of non-pregnant women of the same age. The incidence rate is even higher in older pregnant women and multiparous pregnant women. Therefore, pregnancy is also an important cause of urethritis in women.

Upper urinary tract infections are very common in women, mainly because women have shorter urethras and bacteria can move upward more easily than men. In addition, there is E. coli in the female urethra, which makes sexual intercourse more likely to cause infection. These are the most common factors causing urethritis in women. [2]

1. Drink plenty of water to increase urine volume and flush urethral secretions during urination;

2. Use sedative, analgesic and antispasmodic drugs to relieve pain;

3. Pay attention to rest and avoid sexual intercourse in the short term during the acute phase;

4. Antibiotic treatment (norfloxacin). Select effective antibiotics based on bacterial culture and drug sensitivity tests;

In addition to drug treatment, urethral dilation should be performed for chronic urethritis or urethral stricture.
