The child sucked the nipple and it broke

During the breastfeeding process, mothers often face various problems. Although drinking milk is a natural instinct for every baby, many babies cannot control the strength when drinking milk and bite their mother's fragile nipples. The nipple is an extremely sensitive and fragile area on a woman's body, and being bitten can cause excruciating pain. So what are the solutions for the nipple being bitten by the baby while drinking milk?

What should I do if my nipple is broken by my baby?

1. Apply cooking oil. When you are not feeding your baby, apply some olive oil or sesame oil on the nipples and areola. After a few days of persistence, the basic symptoms will be alleviated. After that, you should pay attention to the way you feed your baby. Gradually, the baby will find the correct sucking method, and the mother's nipples will not be broken.

2. Use sesame oil and honey to wipe the milk on the nipples. Keep the nipples dry first, then mix honey and cream in a 1:1 ratio. When the baby finishes feeding, apply sesame oil and honey on the nipples, and you can also apply it on the surrounding areola, which can effectively relieve this symptom.

3. Apply anti-inflammatory drugs. Mothers, when you are not breastfeeding your baby, you can apply anti-inflammatory drugs locally, such as erythromycin. However, before feeding your baby, you must clean your nipples, otherwise it may cause harm to the baby's body.

4. Use a breast pump to feed. If the mother's nipples are cracked and it is too painful, and the baby has learned the habit of drinking milk from a bottle, you can use a breast pump to suck out the milk for the baby and let the baby drink breast milk directly from the bottle. This method can allow the mother's nipples to rest for a period of time, which can effectively reduce inflammation symptoms and promote wound healing. But mothers must not give up breastfeeding easily, as this will cause the baby to deprive itself of the best nutrients.
