What foods are good for the body during perimenopause?

1. Eat more foods rich in protein and carbohydrates. For example: milk, soy milk, eggs, meat, etc.

2. Drink more water and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Such as apples, pears, bananas, strawberries, kiwis, cabbage, greens, rapeseed, mushrooms, seaweed, kelp, etc.

What foods should you avoid during perimenopause?

1. Avoid eating foods that cause hair growth. Such as fish, shrimp, crab, chicken head, pork head, goose meat, chicken wings, chicken feet, etc., will aggravate the itching and inflammation of the vagina after eating.

2. Sour and astringent products can easily cause qi stasis and blood stasis and should be avoided. It is pungent, warm and dispersing, and is beneficial for the circulation of qi. It can be eaten, but not too much, because the spiciness and stimulation may aggravate the pain.

3. Eat less or no spinach. If you must eat it, you can blanch the spinach in hot water first to dissolve some of the oxalic acid in the water, and then take it out and eat it. This way the body can reduce some oxalic acid intake.

4. Avoid eating greasy, smoked or fried foods, tobacco, alcohol, rooster, mutton and other foods that cause heat and fever.

5. Avoid eating fried and greasy foods. Such as fried dough sticks, cream, butter, chocolate, etc., these foods help to increase moisture and heat, which will increase the secretion of leucorrhea and are not conducive to the treatment of the disease.

6. Quit smoking and drinking. Tobacco and alcohol are strong irritants and will aggravate inflammation.

Preventive Care

1. Medical and health care personnel should actively promote and educate menopausal women on health care knowledge, help them master the necessary scientific knowledge, eliminate fear and doubts, and treat menopause with an optimistic and positive attitude.

2. Health care knowledge should also be promoted to the families of menopausal women, mainly their husbands, to help them understand the symptoms that women may experience during menopause. Once certain symptoms of neurological dysfunction appear, they should be given care, comfort, encouragement and sympathy.

3. It is best for menopausal women to have a physical examination once every six months to one year, including gynecological examination and cancer prevention examination, and selective endocrine examination. Healthcare professionals should provide high-quality counseling services to menopausal women to help them prevent the occurrence of menopausal syndrome, or alleviate symptoms and shorten the course of the disease.

4. For those who undergo bilateral oophorectomy before menopause, estrogen supplementation should be given in a timely manner.
